Brussels airport has ceased any flights to the UK today, due to congestion.
LHR is now not accepting any landings.
BAA at Heathrow are now saying people will not be able to fly today, even if they are at the airport.
That is about 186,000 people going nowhere.

An attack like the 9/11 is not very likely to happen again. I know from a stewardess that the door to the cockpit has to be locked throughout the whole flight and is not opened whatever happens in the main cabin. This is mandatory. Let's hope the crews follow the rule. This may be the reason, why terrorists try something else.

I would say not more talk and lets make some sand glow, I am all for it, sick and tired of them and them being given respect they do not deserve. And a lot of them living in Europe would quickly find themselfes on a plane in a one way flight out of Europe into where they love so much they are willing to kill other people.

for potential suicide bombers and such.

back in college I was a lean/mean 160lbs with a 2nd degree blackbelt and over 12 years of experience in competions....comments like your remind me of when a very large guy in a bar egged me on hard....I ended up telling him that he may get in a punch or two, but just because he's big, don't under estimate what I'm able to do in a fight...his call......let's just say his only two punches punches hurt, but in the end I broke his knee and he was talking much higher for weeks and his dentist made a killing.
we're not the only one with Nukes....if you seriously think we should use them, then seriously think about what others will do in response. espeically if those that may use them are not completely sane in the ways they think....

What about checked luggage, if nasty things can get across through hand luggage, what prevent them to pass in checked luggage. If the scanning machine is not that reliable for hand luggage will it be efficient for checked luggage?
Fully agree with you, but you can't as well reason with those who can flatten a city and kill innocent people non stop.
It is too, it just requires that you try to get along in the first place.
