I would really like to see some photos taken with OLY cameras and non OLY lenses like Nikkor, Pentax, etc. I would like to see how they stack up...

Anyone out there who could post comparisons???

Looks like lots of detail... Thanks! I have several Nikkor lenses, and I really like them. My favorite is the 55mm Micro Nikkor f/2.8. That is the one I would like to keep... and maybe the 135mm f/2.8. I think the 300mm would introduce more color etc. But I think I would like to get an adapter and try it.

How do you think the 16mm fisheye stacks up against you 14-45mm at the same focal length.

Well, f/2.8 is fairly decent so that's a plus, and I love the barrel distortion. I must have had a bad copy of the 14-45mm because I bought one used (bought my E-300 body only) and I didn't like the results at all. The color contrast was very poor and it wasn't very sharp overall. I tried hard to like it but I just couldn't, and the 11-22mm (what I really want) costs too much $$.

Here is a shot at f/2.8

If you bring forth what is inside, what you bring forth will save you.

I do believe that the best lenses for Olympus cameras are Zuiko ED-EZ digital series. Mostly because of the lens to camera communication as well as optimized contrast and colors. For other cameras it could be different. If price is right it is still worth trying though.

Wow! These are all amazing photos! I really didn't think the "other" lenses would produce good results on the OLY, but you guys have proven me wrong! Thanks! I'll be getting an adapter soon!

Sergey,

Nice shots! I couldn't agree more with what you say about other lenses on the Oly bodies. I had a Canon Rebel 300D that I bought the Nikon and LeicaR adapters for. When I put my 105mm f2.5 Nikkor AIS and the Leitz 180mm f2.8 on that camera I was blown away by the improvement over the kit lens and the 50mm 1.8 Canon. I would take the images way past 100% and they would still hold up well with almost zero sharpening. I sold the Canon and now have the E300 and the E1 with the same adapters and just don't see that eye-popping difference between the 14-45mm and those lenses. When I put my 14-54mm on the difference is just not there and it's a waste of time with no real gain in image quality. Now, going to telephoto is a different story. I put my 400mm f6.8 Leitz or my 400mm f5.6 Novoflex lens on the E1 and it's a whole different ball game, but that's because it's the only choice I have and can afford.

Does the Zenitar fisheye when adapted to the OLY become a 32mm equivalent (2x factor) or is it still a fisheye/wde-angle lens?
Thanks.
