I know I've had a ton of new thread posts on here, but I'm really trying to hammer down on what lens to upgrade upon my 18-55mm kit lens.. so bare with me.
I once considered the 18-70mm lens as the upgrade, but the more that I think about what I need, the more I consider a lens such as the Nikon 28-105... I noticed rarely do I use the 18mm wide angle (only for taking pictures of landscapes) and if I need 10mm more wide angle, I can always take a step or two backward since I'm usually outdoors.
I've gone pretty in depth with the 28-105 in terms of researching it, but now a few people have mentioned to me the Nikon 28-200 as a possible candidate. I still need to do a bit more homework on this lens to be caught up with everything I know of the 28-105.
So the question once again is, which lens would be the better walk around lens? Keep in mind I am a college student who takes his camera to events and just started getting my feet wet in the whole dSLR world. I will be pairing one of these lenses with the 50/1.4, so this lens won't see any close range low light situations (like concert photography).
