!!! Challenge #7

Things are geeting muddy.... plese set us straight.

1. When does the competition open and close?
Eric,

It is already open. I'll inform the forum later about the closing deadline (the holidays are a major factor in this decision).
2. When does voting begin and end?
Voting will begin right after the deadline for submitting the entries. I'll look for it. There will be given 24 hours for voting.
3. Are pictures posted to be identified only by picture title but
not by artist's name (until after the voting closes)?
Artist's name must not be disclosed. Photos will be identified by title or, alternatively, by a 'secret' name.
4. May entries be posted to the Forum or not? (I recommend "not"
to protect the anonymity idea)
I think I covered this in an earlier mail. The members are requested not to submit a copy of their entries to the forum (in order to keep the artist's anonymous).
5. How many votes in each category, and how will they be tallied?
Have not decided yet. I'll think about it and publish the decision later.
Anything else we need to be clear on?

Congrats on your well-deserved win. Great photo! (And so many fine
ones to choose among).
Thank you, Eric, for your kindness.

Sarah,

Teachers, janitors, secretaries, school-bus drivers, security personnel... just to mention a few 'workers' at school area.

Enjoy your holiday.

Well, one thing's certain, I will have to be a lot more creative
this time. There are a number of things set against me: I don't
have work, I have school. Currently, I don't have school, I'm on
Christmas break!!! But I'm looking forward to the challenge!

! PEOPLE AT WORK !
Great topic - tho it will be challenging in our area. We live in the great outdoors where the work gets done during the summer - ranchers rounding up cows on horseback . . . wildland firefighters . . . farmers . . . all that great stuff but nobody is doing it now. But I suppose it's summer somewhere in the world. hmmmm .. . maybe I can do a whole series on Sarah cleaning her room! ;-) CindyD--CindyD

Well, Sarah, this is not self portraity anymore !!!
So you do not need to work to take photos of people at work...

I guess I have an idea already :

On the 24th, in the evening, I will install my tripod in front of the fireplace...

and wait for the "Santa at work incredible photo" :-))--F707, BFS, not fixed ... http://www.pbase.com/jln

Got it! This is most helpful.... sometimes I have trouble following the details through many posts and a long complex thread, so thank you for clarifying. I'm looking forward to participating.

Fun?!?!?!?!?!? Believe me, the annual cleaning of my room is put off as long as possible. The only reason I do it is to avoid condemnation by the health department!

SarahD,

The deadline will be after you are back at school. But don't wait, begin thinking/looking for suitable pictures right away.

Good luck

see now, there's an idea for people at work - photograph them nailing the health threat sign to the door of your room?

Hello friends,

I had a good sleep tonight, just to discover in the morning that I
lost all the drama that went here.

I would like to thank all those who participated in the challenge,
and for those who voted. Also, my best congratulations for the
winners in each of the categories.

Challenge #6 was a great success, and thank you, way, for running
it up to the very last moment!

Now, after the waves of excitement have settled down, let me
announce the topic of the next challenge:

! PEOPLE AT WORK !
Another "people" challenge........ yuck for me, but good luck to everybody. Not a theme I want to particpate in. The anonymous thing is another turn-off. I like the discussion about the photos etc...this is also what populates this forum with interesting discussions for a whole week, instead of th usual technical LEVBFS or external flash thing.

But well, the winner gets to decide. Congratulations again Yehuda.

I agree on the anonymous thing. Now we can't discuss the images without giving away who took them.

But I also agree that the winner has the right to decide on the rules - he earned it.

There's always one isn't there. (eom) means end of message. i.e. there is nothing written here. Therefore, this does not exist and you've contributed to the greenhouse effect by stirring unknown numbers of routers and servers into action. When the ice caps melt and the seas flood your house, remember - YOU were partly to blame.

NOW that....would be work....lol
