I'll start with some hoverflies, the food of the next subject :)

and from above:

and then the predator in action (ok ... feeding action):

Thanks for watching!

Cool series. Very sharp and well composed. That last shot is quite the catch. Good work Adrian. Thank you for posting.

Actually that last one could've been so much better, but I dialed in too much underexposure for the flash and the focus is not on the spider's face, but it was a quick one during the morning coffee on the terrace and I had to get my bum to work :)

These 2 are from yesterday morning, the same spider (I guess) but on a different flower ... these ones are focused ok, but the flash was too strong ... they are made with that other camera, but the same macro means, i.e. Nikon 6T.

"come on and hug me!!!"

and a different angle:

Thanks for looking and the comment!

Think so, some are still looking though, these are very good Adrian, I especially like the second hover shot, a beaut.

Humm I think that it said come on nearer and I will jump on you. It is ready to celebrate its new giant meal ;-)

Seriously I really like your pictures. In my opinion the only comment on this first picture is that it perhaps need a little bit more space on the right side.

Thanks for showing what an EXCELLENT Panasonic FZ cam can do ! - the 15 had the best noise to detail ratio (even beating the 20 and 5 by a small degree), they only messed up by not selling it in the UK and missing off the hotshoe - and those are excellent shots..

Thanks for sharing - a reminder of the days when Pan strived to be the BEST rather than the MOST

I really like macros.

And even if it is not your cup of tea, you must admit these are superb.

Well done.

Hmmm. Why do we need new camera models?

I guess it depends more on the individual than the tool.

Kind of like golf clubs.

they make quite easy subjects these days .. really hot outside so they stay longer on the flowers feeding/drinking

I'm flattered to get a comment, it;s the phtographer, not the tool ... really! :)

I posted the photos before Pana made the announcement, so there's no hidden message, just bug shots :D

Thanks for looking and the comment!

I remember thinking just that (the right edge is too close) when I made the crop, but if I recall correctly I had a good reason to do it like this (some blemish on the flower on that side or something). I'll check again tonight if I find the time.

Thanks for looking!

Still doing well and going strong :)

I think I'm about to start a "Gil's folowers club" ... it's really about that, having fun, no forcing of opportunities and seeing the light ... it must be the heat ... Belgium was not intended to have 38 C in the shadow ...

Cheers,

Adrian
