river rocks (weird) comments?

Hi Jerry

I really like the second one - but then I enjoy photos where one isn't completely sure what the photo is. I think the second, besides being more interesting with better composition, seems familiar without being completely sure that it's submerged rocks.

Best,
Laurie

I have to agree with Laurie on this one. The second image, because of its high "what's that?" factor and beautiful composition, is just stunning. I'm especially fond of the way you've captured the reflection of light. It provides unique and interesting highlights around certain of the rocks.

Great job!

I'll join the consensus on the second shot. It has that "liquified" look. I have said it before, the E*0 series does wonders on water shots.
Nicely done!!

HI Jerry

I like water shots. I like both of these. The first one kinda looks like it has a reflection at the bottom of the rocks above it. Weird because they are both under water. The second one has a surealistic look. Good job.

Jerry,

Quite frankly, I don't like 'em...the second one makes me dizzy and sick feeling like looking at one of those 3D pictures hidden in another.

Take care,

Doug ;-)

Oh...perhaps I wasn't supposed to stare at it for 20 minutes without blinking...my fault, my apologies...looks fine now that my eyes have readjusted. LOL...nice work!

Doug

PS...Came through town the other night, but was such a quick trip I didn't get to do a thing :-(

Thank you for the comments Laurie. I Like the second one a little better as well. I tried to frame the first one several different ways but kept coming back to this - uncropped from the camera. It actually looks a little better upside down but I just couldn't post a picture upside down - it would be like admitting that I was totally clueless when I took the shot ;-)

Thanks Eileen,

I thought about floating a leaf in the second picture just to give it a point of reference but there weren't any on the water and I successfully resisted the urge to "plant" one.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment,

Hi Will,

I like the weird reflections in the first one too. That's what caught my eye when I saw it. Maybe I'll play around with it a little more and see if I can crop it to make it a little more interesting.

Thanks for the kind words!

Sorry Doug, I should have warned you to take some Dramamine before viewing the picture, just keep your eyes on the road - you'll feel better in no time

See ya!
