I bet you the Vanderbilts took better care of the place when in their heyday. I hope you enjoyed the day and the picture taking. The 18-125 range probably came in handy and proved versatile.

There's another one pf their places in upstate New York that is also a museum, Hyde Park, just off the Hudson River. Here's a landscape of one view taken April 2005.

Long Island Sound - I find the OOf focus plants on the rhs very distracting

View thru doorway - this is very nice well composed

Flowers - too much is oof for my liking the focus is kind of lost in the middle there

More flowers (sorry..) - i like the angle perhaps these flowers against the blue sky would really pop

does look like a lovely place to visit thanks for sharing
