Hi Everyone,
I was up North this week and was able to get these shots of some baby Red-Tailed Hawks with Mama & Dad watching from close by.
The babies were hatched on March 20/06 so they are a month old. (They sure grow fast.)
It was a thrill for me to see Mother Nature working at her best.
I hope you enjoy them and comments/suiggestions are welcome.
Regards,
harveyf
These were shot with a 20D + Canon 100 - 400 mm L lens.

- 1 - This is one of the babies that I took several shots of.
- 2 - I was very happy that after a while the 2nd. baby emerged.
- 3 - I was even happier when they both appeared together.

- 4 - I was hoping they would spread their wings and put on a show but it did not happen.
- 5 - Not sure if the is the Mama or the Papa but it was on this pole close by and watching the nest.
- 6 - This is the other Hawk watching the nest closely as well from another pole.
- 7 - He/She made a loud shrill sound to make sure I saw him/Her. I was hoping it would take off in flight but it did not happen.
