One of the things I like about this group is that, aside
from useful info on digital photography, we get to see
glimpses of places we might never have a chance to
visit in person.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of your state,
province, country, etc. For anyone that hasn't
visited the Oregon coastline, here's a quick look
at some of the northern part --

Well, this isn't exactly "My" neighborhood, but it's not all that far away from where I live. Wish it WAS my neighborhood. I took these previously and I thought they were a couple of fun shots from this area. The first one looks like I was up in the air but I was not. Just up on a hill that sticks out to the West.

Heh-heh--here's one from halloween night at a friends house, I like some of the effects..... Taken with an uzi....Hope you like..

Well, I must admit, I'm not actually living in Oregon right now.
I grew up there and have since moved to the Seattle area.
But I still consider Oregon my "home" and visit often.

BTW - Cool halloween pic.

My cameras home anyway. Not as scenic as your shots, but some photo challenges. A lot of the shots are stitched using PanaVue Image Assembler. Couldn't really get most of the shots I need for my Engineering Practice without my trusty OLY 3030 and PanaVue.

Kevin,

Your excellent http://www.pbase.com/image/533402
image of Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach Oregon is very similar to
the photo that was the August 2000 winner of Steve's Digital
Picture of the Day contest. That winning photo was made by
Judy, who used to be a frequent poster in this forum. You can
find Judy's photo in Steve's August 2000 Contest Entries page,

Neat idea. Here's a shot from my backyard overlooking the Mississippi from SW Wisconsin. Taken before it got cold of course. Cheap place to live with million dollar views.

Great view! Send us one when the snow falls.
thanks

Hi Kevin

Great idea.

Here's something a little different from the Oregon costline!

It's in the heart of east anglia. I work in the barn on the left (15th century) and live in the house on the right (17th century).

kind regards

Hi Kevin,

I've just been playing about with some panoramas of my area. Heres the view from the top of a local hill looking over my part of the Thames Valley. I live about 5 miles downstream from the villages of Streatley and Goring you see here, near to Reading in Berkshire in the UK
Autumn has come late to the Uk this year and many trees are only just turning,

and here's the view from the bottom of my Garden.

Cheers,

Chris.
