Glad to own it finally - my first pictures taken with the new H1. I'd like to thank all the members of this forum - your know-how and your practical tips all around the H1 (especially Alan's whitepaper) made the final decision to buy one. So this is my very first picture post and i hope it will work. if not - please don't kill me ;-( i will try harder ...

The H1 makes fun and - as Alan mentioned - this is the most important factor! Had an S9500 - brought it back (Hi Ilona) and finally got the H1. A very handy cam and after all easy to use. As time goes by i will learn to handle it. I'll leave for holidays in 3 weeks and already got enough memory :-) - 4 x 1GB sticks should be sufficient.

Your compliments are highly appreciated! I am glad the posting worked especially with embedding the pictures. In this special H1-case i am really willing to learn and understend the cama because there is a learning curve that makes sense and fun! hope to bring in beautiful pictures when returning from mexico by end of february.

In fact you have to go out - try and play with the cam. There is nothing you can do wrong. One has to be fascinated by this cam. But take care you don't get addicted to this little machine. I already dream of DOF and shutter speed when sleeping! But why not - this is the impcat the H1 has. There is just one factor that limits the fun: One has to have time! I often take the cam in my hands just for playing around. Just for experimenting with various parameters. I think this is a good means to learn how the cam works. All the best for you - I am sure we'll meet again here on this forum!

I know it's been said before, but those are really great pictures for a start. It seems you've already got the hang of the camera. Now just shoot&share more pictures!

Great shots. Now get the DH1758 lens and enjoy the long zoom for your
holiday shots. I am sure it will come handy.

Good luck with the H1.
