Here is a one week old Sphynx kitten taken with the H1. I love this camera!

This is my baby Zach. Hi is 6 wks old here and I was trying to show someone his size compared to the salt shakers, but of course he would rather play (see the spilt salt). The pic is slightly tilted from trying to keep him from walking off but I decided to leave it that way. Seemed to fit his personality.

Critiques welcome.

this is a special breed of cat that does not have any hair which is why they look so different. Some people like them a lot because allergies prevent them from having cats with hair or some people just prefer this look.

HolyMoly, these are shots one don't see every day. To be honest: I never seen such a cat just born. Please keep as updated how the animal grows within the next days.

Thanks, I will keep everyone updated. This particular cat is a mink which means he was born white with his color coming in over the next few days. He is getting darker every day.

Yes, this is exactly right. They are not hypo-allergenic but most people that are allergic to cats do okay with them. I admit, it is easier to like them after you see them in person, they are a bit strange looking if you just see pictures of them. ~ : )

... they are adorable, and I AM allergic to cats. But I understood it was the dander, not the fur. Do these not have any dander?

I had three Miniature Schnauzers over the years, they were truly hypo-allergenic. They had hair instead of fur, and no dander.

Great shots. One suggestion: get a redeye tool to fix up the eyes in post-processing. Unless their pupils really -are- red! :-)

Actually, its the dander and saliva that people are generally allergic too. While no cat is hypo-allergenic, Sphynx do not produce near as much dander as a haired cat. Nor do they need to wash themselves as much. There are a few people that still have reactions around them but not many. A lot of the Sphynx breeders are actually allergic to cats but do fine with the Sphynx.

I know this is the way it is for people but in the cats, the red eye is actually a good thing. It usually means they are blue eyed and will stay that way. It is the way many breeders check to see if they have a blue eyed kitten and of course, when they do - they are very proud of it! Kind of a badge of sorts. ~ : )

Great kitten shots. I really like the lighting on them. And it's great that you shot from different spots.
