Hi everyone,

I'll post some pics I've taken with the E-100. Those have already been posted at the SLR forum but I noticed some people here are doubting the quality of the E-100 so why not just share them here as well.

The tap water is fun to shoot, especially with the 1/10000 speed ;-)
I used the internal flash which did work at this speed !

The shot was in macro mode and manual focus.

Added some blue colour to the first two pics..

Excellent shots! Very Edgerton-esque!

Ahhhhhhh! Now that is what photography is all about! What beautiful work Jens! I can only aspire to get as good a shot as you did when my E-100Rs gets here. That is one to print and hang on the wall! Keep them coming! I might just fall in love!

Hi Jens,

Wonderful pictures...excellent work. You have just confirmed what I have know all the time. The 100 takes excellent pictures and has a great feature set.....I have had just about every digital camera out there and this one for me was by far the best.

Enjoy your camera!!! Keep them coming!

Hi Carmen,

So now I think that I should sell my 1 month old Uzi and get the E-100RS. Those were great shots. I do think that the differences between the Uzi and the E-100 are more than just the .5 mp. And most of them seem to be in favor of the E-100!

Hi Jason,

Thanks a lot for the kindly comments ! I'm very sure you will enjoy this great camera when you get it ! Lot's of fun and very flexible in most situations.

Looking forward to see more pix posts from other users in the near future. This cam is, as someone mentioned, very underestimated...

Cheers !

Thanks Carmen,

I also got the E-10 which is a great camera but I feel that the E-100 deserves more attention. No doubt that it's a good camera and fun to work with. This is the cam I will bring on my next vacation trip due to it's flexibility..

Cheers

Hi Ron,

You know my feelings about the 100.....go for it. I have no regrets! I doubt that you will either. When I first introduced this camera to Cathy she had in her collection (and had used) like I, several cameras siuch as the Nikon 995, Canon Pro 90, Nikon 885...just to name a few...but she quickly found that the 100 was the most consistant at taking pictures of all of them, it became her favorite...and she like I fell in love. She and I even tried the E-10 but liked the 100 much better. The E-10 although it takes excellent pictures was just a tad to slow. So we returned them as well.

Go fotr it!!!

Thanks again Carmen for all of your help and quick responses. I will try to acquire a US version of this camera at a fair price. Try them both and then decide my next course of action!

Thanks again, your newby friend,

Ron

Hi Jens,

Once again - great shots!
I'm glad folks are getting something nicer to look at than just my dopey
comparison shots :0)

I haven"t yet had a chance to play with PS processing and printing. Have
you settled on a way to best prepare for print?
Have you gotten a macro lens yet? I'm about to order a B-Macro myself.
Also what did you use for your panorama software?

Thanks from the guy with no time to use his new camera,

Dave

Gee, Jens. I asked you to post a few decent E-100 pics, and here you posting astounding digital art! These pictures are absolutely amazing. Also proves you don't even have to leave your house to take great shots. Keep them coming, I can't wait for more. They're truely inspirational. :-)

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the kindly comments !

Regarding printing I have to be admit that I haven't done that much printing yet. I have a dyesub printer which prints 6*4 so it's not a good reference of how big you can go. I know Jono has experience of printing A4 size with a very good result though.

Cheers

Hi Max,

Thanks :-)

It's amazing how close you can find the inspiration with a little imagination.

I'll try to post some more pics in the weekend. I hope to go out and take some more shots on Sunday.

Hi again Dave,

Ooops, I just saw that forgot to answer some of your questions...
see below :
Have you gotten a macro lens yet? I'm about to order a B-Macro myself.
I'm heading out to my local photot store to look for a closeup lens this afternoon. Don't know how it will work but it's worth a try..
Also what did you use for your panorama software?
I use :
