Post you..: before .. & ..: after :..

Allow me just to say that I find the priginal shot a lot better and more authentic and more meaningful as a whole..that the PP works...

The only thing I would adjust is as a little more contrast...darken with layers and selective colour black..
If you don't mind-I'd like to post and show you the result....

Hello

He certainly used more than levels. Clone tool is no good on skin. Try the patch tool or healing brush, like I have done here (hope you don't mind). I'm not too proud of the result - I only spent a couple of minutes on it, and you had altered too.

I definately like what you did there. I've never played with the patch tool or healing brush - I'm definately going to now though!

I noticed on that one picture of the original poster though - that the skin texture was still there - and actually made better (more standard across the skin, normal looking, etc). Is there a way to do that with these tools? Looks like whichever tool you used between those two (or both) takes most of the texture out.

Not that I'd mind too much - that looks far better than what I had before - but just curious?

Thanks for your help. I haven't ordered the prints yet, so I'll be doing a bit of work before doing so to improve all the pictures.

Thanks!
Jennifer

Ok....

I tried this again.... Can you guys tell me what you think? I'm looking for contructive criticisms here.... Here's a before and after... What do you think of the "after"? Too little or too much of anything, or just right, etc?

I also posted this in the retouching forum - I know this isn't the normal forum for asking for feedback - but this thread already existed so I thought I'd ask here too :-)
