There are some good reasons why a delay would be a good thing for me.
  1. 4: It will give me a chance to look over the new dslr that Canon will announce to upstage the d200. Then I'll disregard it and buy Nikon anyway.
  1. 3: I'm an adult. I'm supposed to be playing Santa Claus this time of the year, not acting like a greedy kid throwing a fit because I can't have a new toy just when I want it.
  1. 2: If the d200 is delayed, I might be able to pay off my new 85/1.4 before Adorama hits my credit card again.
  1. 1: I need some time to get over my Holiday Hangover :- .

I wouldn't mind not getting the camera till Jan sometime both from a financial and family perspective. I can play with new toys later.

LOL - wonderful splendid photo - seems like a younger version of someone I know . . . . . hmm, could it be me?

I wouldn't mind the wait either I guess.

kind regards

And if a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it's as though I've neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. I know that the accident of my being a photographer has made my life possible.'-Richard Avedon

I will have to disagree with you on this one Uncle Frank. No amount of alcohol will dampen my current state of camera lust.
I need my D200 NOW!

You mean after 9/10's of a bottle of vodka, 3 beers and 10 cigs?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ! ! !

You just need to say, Ho Ho Freak'n Ho!.

Too funny!

Great photo. Maybe the 5th reason to wait is to ensure your next camera can meet the benchmark set by this photo.

Cheers =) and Merry Xmas.

'Maybe this day won't be mine. Or the next, or possibly even the next, or the next, or the next, or the next, or the next, or the next after that... But the one after the next, after the next, after the next, after that. Well that one after that, right next to that one... That will be my day!'

You are right, but I still hope deep inside me that it will be available before the 21st since on that date I will go for two weeks to Canada. Would love to take it with me! Great photo opportunities...

Well, I always figured pictures like this had more to do with the photographer than the camera. Doesn't surprise me I guess.

Thats why it's tradition to light bonfires on the bayou in Louisiana . . . so Santa can find his way when he leaves TN. I know what you mean about getting the card back in shape. I don't use credit cards. I only use a debit card. After having more than enough available on the card, thanks to a family emergency, I'm scrambling to get the money back in the account.

Merry Christmas!!!
