Which photo-sharing site is the best?

I'm thinking of joining flickr. I like how they have the groups..etc & pix are pretty easty to find doing a search. Plus it i only $24.95

Any opinions?

Flickr communties are good, but bear in mind it has limited upload unless you become a member. The interface is a little clunky as well for organising your pictures. Other than that, a good option.

I'm a very happy flickr member. Haven't tried Smugmug, so I can't compare. But I don't think you would be unhappy with Flickr.

Mike,

Have you noticed the pbase galleries that now contain auto spawning web pages in them. I have gone to links listed in messages from members of Fred Miranda and DPReview and been treated to pages that spawn themselves and invite me to view porn or check my pc. Is there any talk in the Pbase forums about this? Stuff like this would definitely keep me from using that service.

I'm not really into the community thing, although I browse other sites sometimes. I mainly post my pix and let my "peeps" know they're there.

I've used pbase for a whole 2 weeks and in that time have been happy. I didn't really shop around any, but it seems to do what I want. I mostly just wanted space, since my university account is capped at 10 mb
