B-300 arrives from Germany!!

The B-300 lens arrived today and everything looks great. Now what to do with the Canon TL-55 (1.4x) lens I found a few weeks ago on clearance at a local shop for $58.00. If anyone is interested let me know.

I also received my B-300 lens and step-up ring today. I can't wait to start taking some pictures with it!

I went down to the mailbox again today, and there it was! A big yellow box from Martin!

It comes in a nice vinyl pouch and has front and back lens covers: just more layers between me and my prize. I attach it to the front of my UZI, turn it on and look through the viewfinder: the image is round, not square? Oh yeah, vignetting at wide angle. Zoom in and it fills the viewfinder. Quick! Find something to take a picture of! There: that'll do:



Hmmm... Maybe he was a bit too close. Wait! What's that up in the sky? It's a bird? It's a plane? Turn my trusty B-300 on it and snap a picture.



I'm going to have to play with the exposure to avoid that purple fringing on shots like this.

Gotta run: so many pictures, so little time. Ducks... Squirrels... People... Mountains...

I ordered mine on the 14th and it showed up in Sunnyvale California (near San Jose) on the 30th.

Wow! Nice to see so many happy Oly users with their new B300. I'm also very glad for all of you that Martin turned out to be so trustworthy.

I originally had reservations about you guys/gals taking the chance , but obviously it paid off. You all saved yourselves a$50.00 bill by chancing it. Have lots of fun using it . JD

Jinkies...I guess mine won't be here till the middle or end of next week, then (it was shipped on the 20th). 8-( Bummer. Thanks for the info, though...I'll stop spying out the window for the mail-person, at least till Tuesday!
