Two years longer than you, actually. Even if ever legit camera showed up here as a rumor, this does not mean that every rumor is a legit camera. There have been many false reports before, or reports with incorrect specs. This report may be true (I'm now inclined to believe it, given the investigation on the PDF authorship that's now taken place), but the original posting certainly wasn't enough to make the claim of "real not fake" just for the saying so.

no they won't..

Canon made a conscious effort to include the EF-S mount for the 20D when the 10D didn't have one.. they are not going to drop it for their "entry level" cameras.. the 200D (and it's successor if any), XT, and the 20D will continue with an EF-S mount. no wonder Canon is making more EF-S glass.. why else would they make a EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro!

This camera (if it exists) is the mythical "tweener" that will fall between the 20D and the 1D MKII in Canon's line-up.

Can't wait for all the gear hounds to start unloading their 20D's - should see some good prices on the used market ;-)

this thread is all bogus but it is more than likely that Canon will release a camera to do competition to the Nikon d2x. Canon does not have a competitive pirced pro body that is 1.3x and 12 mp. all they have is the 1D and the 1Ds.

Spec says the camera has flash metering. This is consistent with an SLR camera body with no flash.

Did you notice "430EX" on the last page. I guess the 420EX is being replaced (no big surprise).

Not too sure about that. Seems this camera only does 3 FPS based on that document I linked to and first saw in a 20D thread.

looking again at the shooting modes, there is one additional mode.. Custom.

I have a feeling this will include some sort of options to set minimum shutter/aperture/ISO settings and the camera would change the rest..

at least i hope that's what it means!!

The 20D's 5fps shooting speed isn't very useful when combined with its small 6 frame RAW buffer. The 5D's 3.2fps shooting speed combined with its 17 frame RAW buffer is going to actually allow you to shoot more and faster. I find that the 20D's buffer clogs up even with fast-paced portrait shooting, especially with slower CF cards (yeah, I have a few).

The spec first talks about the flash and then has an additional item specifically for an external flash.

I don't believe there will be a new full frame camera. The Canon dslr's seem to come in 18 month intervals. According to this line only one camera is up for replacement: the 1.3 crop 1DmkII.

I looked up the 1D mark II on B+H and looked at the images side by side. If it is a photoshop of that body it has some very heavy tweeking. It is definately reminicent but there are a lot of diffrences.

Not to say that makes in any more beleivable.

Personaly I don't care as I just picked up my XT and if I am going to dream about things that are out of my price range I might as well drool over the 1Ds.... ooohhhh 1Ds.....

Yes and a good read too. The Canon 20D forum is full of 5D threads now :-) Maybe hard to find 20D posts soon.....nah.
