All done with the D50 and Kit lens. Hoya R72 filter was used.

Very promissing IMO

The camera is light and easy to work with

Benoit G was with me and I think he and I wouldn't have a problem recommending the camera for any type of photography to anyone that loves photography.

Here are the shots ...

Same shot but in color

With a different PP twist ...

Thx for looking questions and comments welcome ...

Looks pretty good to say the least, what kind of filter are you using?

Outstanding work as we have come to expect from you. Always nice to see your images, Yves.

Yes, I've also been playing around a bit with the D50 -- have to say I'm really impressed even at very high ISO's -- seems a pleasure to use and handle. Nikon have a winner here, I think.

I've always liked IR, especially when it's well done. These are very good. The 2nd one is my fav. It's a winner in my book. :-)

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like the exposure times are very similar to D100 with the same filter. I thought Nikon was getting more aggressive in filtering out the IR but these tell a different story!

You're enjoying your IR photography, and wht not? Stunning shots again. I'm pleased to see you can achieve this kind of quality from the 'budget' Nikon; very encouraging.

I had a chance to play with this camera and it is a fantastic camera in some ways I like it better than the D70 and the D100, smaller size and bright colorful jpegs right out of the box, super clean at ISO 1600, amazing really for being cheaper than any DSLR Nikon makes.

The kit lens is a great lens for what it is intended for and in my opinion it is better than the D70 kit lens as far as sharpness and contrast is concerned.

Yves,

Great images as always and thanks for sharing. I love the 3rd one the most.

You should post them on the "Nikon D70/D50 Forum" - It would fire-up the D50 owners!
