OK, where did you guys find the 49mm-43mm step down ring so the Tiffen MegaPlus lenses will work with the LensMate on the G1? Thanks!

Bill, I got it from dcprodirect, I believe, when I ordered my Tiffen. You have to search high and low on their site to find these 'kits'.OK, where did you guys find the 49mm-43mm step down ring so the
Tiffen MegaPlus lenses will work with the LensMate on the G1?

Well, finally found it. It is number M21100 49-43 adaptor mount for $9.95. In the specs, they say that it mounts the Tiffen lenses much closer than regular step down rings.

these 'kits'.
Well, finally found it. It is number M21100 49-43 adaptor mount
for $9.95. In the specs, they say that it mounts the Tiffen lenses
much closer than regular step down rings.
I just ordered the Lens Twin Pack (B45946) that comes with the two Tiffen lenses and the step down ring for $130. Much better price than B&H!

You may have to wait a long time to get the lenses. I ordered the same pack a week ago, and when I didn't receive them yet or hear anything from them, I called. They said the 2x lens and the ring are out of stock and didn't know when they would get more in. What made me angry was, they didn't post the fact on their site that these items were out of stock, or answer my emails or call me - I had to call them. I ordered the Megaplus lens kit from dcpro on 6/29/01, they shipped the wide angle, camera bag and 49-43mm adapter on 7/6/01. I am still waiting for 2x telephoto. I got an e-mail from from Sheilda Brooks at dcpro, dated 7/29/01 saying they expect their shipment of the lenses next week, so the wait may not be much longer.
I have used the wide angle once, putting the adapter on top of the UV filter I keep on my lensmate. Not being critical it seemed fine to me. I did notice the silver finish on one of the edges of the lens rubbed off where it touched a glass table top. I didn't expect that to happen so fast, but since it has nothing to do with the images, I am not concerned.

I see that DC Pro is apparently the only ones that bundle the Tiffen wide angle and the telephoto and the step down ring. However in their latest bundle you have to get the canon 43 mm extension. I prefer the Lens mate (49mm). ??????????I have used the wide angle once, putting the adapter on top of the

After reading this, I was a little bumed out, and called DC Pro to cancel my order. When I asked for my order status, they said it was shipping today.
