dell just move my order back

just got my order pushed back to May 5 now. Everyone said it would happen and it did. I am patient but I really want my camera. Does anyone have any info on when they will be receiving thiers. My original ship date was April 29. Only extended for a week but I have a filling I could still be waiting on another and another week to role by before I can look on the website and see SHIPPED.

Interesting info..

I was out for a few hours today...
...taking pictures with my new camera.

I didn't buy from Dull though.

Maybe you didnt buy from Dull, but I bet you paid more than 696 shipped for a Rebel XT Kit?

I paid 420 USD for the new black 300D, and got it in 3 days.

I feel pretty good about that..

I ordered my Black XT with lense kit on 4-15.

Estimated shiip date is 5/02...

Not yet pushed out but I guess I could find out tomorrow...

Starting price of 999, minus 15% camera coupon, minus 10% Dell Pref Account coupon, minus 75 off 999 coupon. This should add up to about 696 as long as I am not forgetting something.

baught the kit. I did online chat with dell yesterday and asked them to ship my camera next day delivery. She said ok, so I gave her my info, and she said it was done. Only time will tell. She could not find out when another shippment is supposed to come in. The way that Dell does things is a joke isn't it.

Same for me and same dates....BUT this can be good news if you do this...

Call Orders Customer Support. Tell them that on the day you ordered it was supposed to ship in 24 hours and then when you got confirmation it changed to April 29th and now you just got a third delay cause it's May 5th. Tell them how important it was that you have the camera because last weekend you were supposed to take pictures for your (....fill in whatever...) and now you are so disappointed and you want to ask for a credit or free memory card to make up for your disappointment.

I did and they gave me a $90 coupon code that's good for 6 months. That makes the 50mm 1.8 I was going to buy anyway, now free.

Oh yea, also make sure they upgrade your May 5 shipping to overnight.

You arent alone. I ordered one from them 3 weeks ago and they did the same thing to my order. THey dont even list the black ones anymore. All the local places like Circuit City and Best Buy have silver ones but the black ones are impossible to get. THis is ridiculous. Maybe I should order from B&H.

I have to admit I am jealous of the US "stacking coupons"...

In Sweden you can only use one special offer at a time.

I am not impressed by the 50 mm prime.

I figured the Sigma 18-50 2.8 does what the prime
does and then some... Great walkaround lens.

You lose some brightness and some sharpness
at big aperture... but it is very useful from 18 to 50 mm.

Great for landscapes..
