Which one's better?

Yuri ! By the way, read my answer to you on the otherthread about hte translation.... As far as these pictures - my take is that the 1st one is nice and softer looking face, but it blends with the background too much being the same shade of gray....

May I suggest one good thing - try to post the same ones on the retouching forum and ask the guys there to improve and you wil lsee what they came up with ... There are so many professiona artist retouchers and thay are amazing ! Ask for CSPRINGER or FEIVEL - they are very good ! A, KentC is great , well, almost everyone there is CHIC!

Grazie,Thank you, Sal .. -

The first shot - the softer skin and texture of A is nice and smooth, but looks a tad too overdone. I like the grainier and more natural B. I'd be tempted to try a very slight softening of the graininess around the lips and eyes, but leave some of the texture for the face.

The second shot - both are nice, but the touch of warmth to B seems to add to it. This is a beautiful shot...I love the angle, closeness, and hair across the face.

Hi Yuri,

I like the 1st and 3rd the best for this model. Usually, I like photos in crisp focus, but I like her better with the soft focus. I also don't like the blown out hair in the second. She is beautiful, and I think the softening of the skin brings out more of her femininity. For me, this works with her, but with other models this may not be true. Just my opinion.

1a ( but could have used a tad more contrast on subject) and 2b.

Nice Stuff.

Yuri

For me it depends on what look you are going for. if you want a glamorous look then 1A is the way to go. if you want a more realistic personal picture, 1B is a little better.

I have to be honest and say i'm not really caring for either of the sepia tones unless the aim was to depict a harsh picture. the toning and light seems to highlight imperfections and deaden the eyes but maybe thats just me. What I would like to see is the toning effect after you have processed the picture like you have done with 1A and with a little less brown.

hope this is helpful

Hi Yuri, Very nice work. I can’t imagine that the girl would prefer 1B over 1A. 1A is much more flattering. For the second set I prefer 2B over 2A. Her left eye is the major draw for me. In 2B the eye is sharp and draws me right in. 2A is nice but I miss the clear contact with that beautiful eye!

but the interesting thing to me is that both of the 2 pictures look better before you click on them to open them out. I like the crop that the first view makes.

1 a -- is better. the grain in 1 brings out too much detail in her skin. the soft touch in (1a) accents her hair very nicely and the overall composition of the image is very pleasing. Awsome picture!

2 a -- is a little better. i just think the color here is more appropriate. besides that it's also a very interesting adn eye-catching picture.

such a beautiful model. great photos.

1b - in my opinion. Its much more 'real' and engaging. I really can't decide on the either of the close-ups.

Cheers,
Doug

The effect used in the first photos gives her a softer look, which I think is more flattering than the second photo. The same goes for #4. The softness or noise reduction, whatever you did, is more flattering than the harsher lighting/effect of #3. Pretty girl and great photos!

Just my two cents.
