1gb about 110 pictures 2gb the dubble. You have to make the choice but not less than 1gb. And use Sandisk Ultra II

I've heard that the Lexars are the best due to the fact that if something becomes corrupt they supposedly are easier to retrieve the photos from.

I just bought a ScanDisk Ultra II 1GB. It will hold about 150... Depending on what mode you are shooting in. I took it to Disney and shot about 100+ shots a day.... worked great!

Why Sandisk Ultra II over Extreme III? Why over Lexar 80x? I don't
doubt your advice, just wanted to know why. I will be getting one
before Sunday. Thanks.

I wonder if anybody has already done a timing test that will show whether 350D can benefit from the speed of Extreme III as opposed to a "regular" high-speed card.

They have a nice CF database with usage for each type of cam. The 350 ought to be up this week sometime, but you can probably assume similar numbers when compared to the 20D. It looks like the 1GB extreme III is the best card.

That might be the best card due to it's speed, but will your camera write as fast as the card can take it???? I doubt the 350 XT can write faster than 60X, so why spend the extra money for a faster card? A regular 60X sandisk will do the job fine. Even if it was as fast as the card, will you shoot in burst mode all the time? In my opinion, the Extreme cards are waste of money.

Digital photography is addictive

For a hobby where we debate between several hundred dollars for various lenses, I'd rather spend the extra $10 bucks on a card that I know can do a little more. There were people posting that they were getting 30-40 shots b/c the buffer was writing to the card so fast. Yeah, I'll prolly never need that, but how many people do you see driving SUV's around town?

What exactly do you mean by corruption? do we hit this often? Any specific conditions we need to be careful about to avoid this?
