Show me the colors!!!

Thank you Nahau for the kind words!
The truth is that I try to explore the limits of my G1.
In 2 weeks I am going to Koumou land!

I am invited by Koumou in the wonderful island of Rhodes.Of course the G1 will be with me...Imagine...
2 owners of G1s, 2 G1s, one pc with cd recorder and many blank cds!

I hope we will make a good company in Rhodes and have great fun shooting with the G1s !
Of course the results will be posted to all of you old pals!
I also plan to visit many Greek islands with my mountain bike and the G1.

I have already visited the island of Egina.And at the end of the Summer I will make a site with the cruises from the Greek islands.
Till then I send you my love !

I still do not get it. The link is just too long to retype. When I copy and paste it, it does not paste into this post. I am registered, but no registered appears by my name. I have sent an email for help to Phil A., but not received a reply. I am very frustrated by this problem. I have been working on it for weeks. Any help you can give me will be appreciated.

I just joined Ofoto to see if I could post a photo here...lets see if it works!

It appears that a direct link to the photo will not link directly to dpreview. However, the page below was accessible in the "Preview" mode of this response. Now to see if it will be available in the real "post...here we go! Lets hope it works!

The test worked! I was able to link the "page".

When looking at the link in your previous post, it appears that there are missing parameters in the address. Go to OFOTO and view your album where the photo you want to post is. If you look at the address bar of your browser , you will see the address of the page that is being displayed. Copy the entire address (highlight the address and hit Ctrl+C to copy it), then paste it here in a response. I do not know what browser you are using, but it is possible that the entire address is not displayed. Make sure to copy and paste the entire address into the response.

If you have been doing what I describe above all along, then I have no idea what's going on!

Excuse me again while I congratulate myself for a successful imbed and saying the pinwheel picture is awesome, imho, :). If it looks a tad blurry it's because the individual pinwheels are spinning like crazy in the wind. VR
 
Hi Vance,

Thanks for the photo. Many bright colors!;-). By the way, you can always test if a photo embeds using the "preview" mode of the posting window. In preview mode, it will show the link and when you click on it, it should bring up what you embedded. If it works in preview, it will work in the post.

I got that--but I had to do 'show picture'--using IE 5.5+. Sometimes that happens, but it looks as though Ofoto can be linked to without any problem.
 
I love colors too! I posted this to the samples and galleries also before. Here it is again. Made from G1.

Vance I looked at your picture and was surprised because I have a picture of the same subject! Was that taken in a Kite Loft store? Nice shot!

Nahau,

This is more or less what I have been trying to do without success. I can copy the (whole) address, but not paste into here. As you know the address is quite long to type without effort and possible error. I have been hoping without success that I would solve the pasting problem. If you have any ideas, please let me know. I believe I sent you an email from the site. Please let me know if you received it.

I don't know the name of the store, it was a gift shop in Brooksville, Florida. My sensors shut down automatically whenever my wife walks into a store to shop. Here's another pinwheel shot at the same place.

Hi Bill,

It sounds like you don't know how to "cut and paste". I don't know if that is the case, but I'll explain anyway. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to paste your link here.

As I said, go to the "page" you want to link. "Highlight" the entire address that shows in your browser address bar by clicking somewhere on the address...it will turn blue when it is highlighted.

On the keyboard, hold down the "Ctrl" key and at the same time press the "c" key. You must do this together for the address to be copied..."Ctrl+c"

Next, respond to this post, and "paste" the link you copied by holding down the "Ctrl" key and at the same time press the "v" key. Again you must do this together..."Ctrl+v". This will paste the link into the response. If you try to paste it, and nothing happens, then you probably didn't copy it correctly...go back and copy the address again.

This is typical "computerese", and you shouldn't have to "manually" type the address character by character. Give it a try again. By the way, I didn't recieve any email from you. By the way, are you using Internet Explorer or Netscape???

A friend suggested using CTL-v instead of paste and it works:

I normally frequent the Fuji and Sony Forums, but decided to have a look in here. I have really enjoyed looking at your pictures. They are more progressive than I could have imagined from those who say they are newbies to digital photography. An eye for a picture and a G1... what a combination! LarryG
