Guys,

I've just bought a Dell X300 laptop (small 12") and I'd like to get a new bag which can take all the following kit:

D70, X300, 50mm, 18-70, 70-200,70-300 and the SB800.

I've been looking at these so far:

Lowepro - Stealth AW II
Crumpler - Brians Hottub
Tamrac - Cyberpack 8

What should I go for?

Thanks

I just purchased a Lowepro for my new d70. Not the bag your asking about but the quality is excellent and it has a lifetime warr. I actually bought another brand first but then returned it for the LP. Very nice.....

Almost like looking in a mirror, my setup is very close to yours, instead of a 70-200 I have the 80-200 2.8.

I did the review for the Crumpler December Quarter. I use the X300 with the extended battery, I just love this thing. The bag is nice too, been a couple of months now and the review still holds true. Not having a handle to grab onto is starting to bug me but I'm still digging it.

I've got a Crumpler Shrinkle -- it's a great bag, I wholeheartedly recommend the brand. Very customizable, thick padding. Pretty bomb-proof gear.

I fit the following:

15" Powerbook
D70
17-55DX
70-200VR
45mmP
90mm Tokina macro
SB-800 or a portable storage unit (80gb Tripper)
extra battery, cards, bubble level, caps

Never looked at the other bags, sorry.

Do a search for the Crumpler Shrinkle. There's a guy in one of the Canon forums who put up a nice review of the bag, complete with images.

Thanks guys, I'm not 100% sure what I'm gonna go for.

The Cyberpack 8 & Crumpler bags look like my best bet.

I have the Lowepro CompuTrekker AW - holds my laptop, D70, 80-200, SB-800, plus 5 other lenses and lots of accessories. It's the perfect bag for me. Well padded and comfortable for long hikes.

I got this bag on Ebay last week, it fits my specs pretety much
what you outlined as yours. Very good quality, don't pay any
attention to the make of camera, it's generic with all the
dividers, pads, zippered compartments that I needed.

I figured even it it wasn't exactly what I wanted, I wasn't out a
lot of money.

Rex,

Do you have a Pic of it with laptop and camera in it? On their ad I don't see where the camera goes.

It's a top loader, the notebook slide in the very back of the bag in it's own slot, then there's enough dividers (large and small) to really customize the bag. Mine is set up to hold my D70 with 28-80 lens in the center, my SB600 in it's case in a divider on the left side, and my 75-300 zoom standing up on the right side in it's own cubby hole. There's not an easy way for me to get a picture up since I only have the one digital camera.
