Lovely Day (pics)

Hi Rainer - even more of a friend! (I hope you noticed my
intervention in the Canon forum - I'm expecting a knock at the door
any moment!).
oh year..... great.
i was very pleased.

i think they became a little bit lost. showd us their superiority with more and more absence........ cause its clear, how the things are it didnt has had sense for them to argue more, was so clear how bad is the kodak and how amateurish are we poor people who cant afford a d1s or 1ds2 that they had to shut up. isnt it?
thanks for coming in....

its a funny feeling if a crowd wants to eat meat,- even if they are just in the net and so maybee just virtual. who knows. maybee cia agents. but now i become insane.

p.s.
you saw the smeary image posted in the end? i think it gave dave the run.....
Thank you for the advice - I'm not very well up on perspective
correction, at the moment I'm just using the crop tool in photoshop
CS - I'm sure there are better things . . . . but not sure what
they are.

Any suggestions?
i like the " imagingfactory " plug in perspective.

even its freeware. but for this kind of correction as in your shot i would use the distortion tool in photoshop and make it as it seems to fit my eyes well.
Kind Regards
Jono

Thanks Rainer

I'll have a better bash with photoshop first . . . . and then maybe try this one out. I've got lots to learn about this!

If someone creeps around the house . . . they'll have to contend with blue - as you can see from the shot, he is a little smeary, but definitely a dangerous character!

As for Cuba . . . . can you imagine that Dave bloke lasting long.

I suspect that he was just amusing himself with a windup - it would be tragic to think that he really believed all that!

Kind Regards - have a good evening

no freeware, but good.

phone me if someone creeps aropund your house......
although they probably will use more traditional ways as to spent
us some years hollidays in kuba or so.....

The thread was full....couldn't post any more.....It's good that you found an image of smooth metal. The Kodak does well to avoid noise on the smooth textures. This works well for your landscape photos....which you do an incredibly good job by the way.

As we pointed out before, the smearing shows on areas of fine detail...like the brick wall or the moss. That's why we kept mentioning that. Keep posting your architectural shots though....they are truly awesome!

All the best!

Dave

Hi Jono,

Was Boris possibly a Bielefelder?! Couldn't resist checking. http://www.feathersite.com//Poultry/BRKChickensA-C.html

There are some pretty weird varieties out there! Must be somewhat entertaining to watch sometimes. The crested Polish birds and "booted" and long-tailed varieties have my vote. "Sablepoot Belgian barb d'Uccle" just has a nice ring to it! :-)

Noticing Dave L's appearence below, I wonder now if any of the above photos were taken at iso6? Do you use that setting regularly or only specifically for certain lowlight situations? I was wondering, because I thought the water reflection shot was clear and absent smearing artifacts...

imho,

Kim
Hi Kim
It's east anglia, and it's an aruacana hen - Boris was a
beider-something or other, and Stanly was a Jersey Giant.

The pine tree is a scots pine, which is not native to around here,
but they're popular - no forests in East anglia (at least, not of
scots pine)

kind regards

Hi Quentin,

Hopefully the part of your home that dates to the 1400's is not the part that contains the plumbing! :-) I wonder if any building regulations in your area prevent homeowners from destructing anything considered "historic". We have such rules for homes from the Victorian period.

When we visited Duxford Air Museum, we passed through Ickleford (Ixford?) which was a town with many examples of thatch. Well maintained, it seems to be very functional compared to other roofing.

Kim
This is classic East Anglia, from md-Essex up through Suffolk to
Norfolk taking in bits of Cambridge.

But you're not alone - there are plenty of Londoners who don't
venture out our way and profess to be amazed at seing thatched
cottages in East Angia. Our own house is not thatched, but part
of it dates from around 1400AD - around the time Jono was born,
methinks :-)

Quentin
Bloody hell! Ive been there a dozen times, Ive never seen anything
like this in East Anglia. Strange, last time I spoke to Jono, we
wre talking about Cornwall and his imagery. Well, it just shows the
wide beauty of England.

regards Fred
Beautyful !! pics one and three, thats Cornwall in a nutshell. Let
me know how youre getting on.

Hi There
Took these on the school trip this morning (with a slight detour).
Such lovely light!

ROFL - no, but he will make their shirts dirty with those big (nearly always muddy) paws.

They will, in fact, become smeary

hope you enjoyed the film

Hi Kim
Hi Quentin,

I don't think they had a lot of plumbing in the 1400's! Modern plumbing in old buildings is fine (although it's tough to hide things).

Quentin's house is very beautiful - just lovely.
I wonder if any building

the Victorian period.
Absolutely - very strict
When we visited Duxford Air Museum, we passed through Ickleford

Thatched houses are wonderful . . . . . if it's over the road from you. They are:
1. expensive to maintain
2. need replacing every 20/100 years (straw/reed)
3. fabulously expensive house insurance
4. catch fire

Nice, pretty, romantic, but not functional.

Kind Regards
Jono
