Introduce yourselves....

Thanks for sharing.

Best,
Janice

PS Question: Is January 6th the Three Kings Day holiday? Or is
it later in the month? We were just discussing that last evening!
Thanks.
As I'm still very new with posting at this forum - not lurking , so
I just take the opportunity...

Did some flash testing with the SB24 I bought at ebay. Works pretty
well with the D70 if you're willing to do a little tweaking. No
iTTL but very good as an intermediate in automatic mode until I go
for the SB600.

My daughter pulled the trigger and I tried to keep up with her.
Usually I'm not that redfaced ;) Enjoy

Thank you Janice for your kind welcome

And yes, January the 6th is the Three Kings Day/Epiphanias, but only in southern Germany it's a holiday. In many families it's the last day to get the christmas tree lightened before plundering him.

Thanks for the thread.

Here we are:

2004's Christmas Card.
Used a tripod and exposed for the lights on the tree, mantle and
the flames in the fireplace. Then a second shot without moving the
camera using a large and medium softbox. Layered in PhotoShop and
erased the tree, mantle and fireplace to allow the lights and
flames to show through where they would have been washed out in the
flash shot.

This was shot with my D100, but it is posted in this forum because
two of those presents under the tree are a D70 and SB-800 for her
so I guess it makes it OK to post here.

Happy New Year to all the dpReview folks.

I'm just an ole Hillbilly from the Smoky Mountains and a Big Orange UT Vol Fan! :))

This is myself with my youngest daughter (she's 12) and one of her pets, Maggie, on Christmas day. Just a snapshot with my Olympus C-5050Z.

Betty says that she should at least get half of the credit for taking the photo since her hand behind the package was tripping the shutter using my "Rube Goldberg" lash up to trip the shutter through my PocketWizards.

Ah! It's a kitten! I thought it was an iPod.

Does no one get your photo!!!?!?!?!?!

I love it!!!

Let me get this right...
The girl in red with the kitten is the one who "Thinks Different"!!!!
And it seems that no one on this forum gets it!
At least that's the way the photo talks to me..

Keep up the great work...

Ah, so this is how you attach annoying quotes to the end of one's posts.

That's great, Rafael!! You two look like a fun couple having a
good time!
Thanks, Richard! Yes, we like to have fun. You should see the other costumes we have donned in the past...but I think she'd kill me if I show those on the web! ;)
