Let's all put a face to our posts...

The wonderful thing about digital is the instant satisfaction, and knowing you got the shot. Over the last few months I've been messing with pinhole cameras of all sorts - you can't frame the image, you're guessing at the exposure (reciprocity effects up to 10x), almost unpredictable color because you don't know how reciprocity is going to shift it, and you don't know what you really got until you pick up the film. It's been really reeing, good for the soul.

Here's my picture, the only one I've taken of myself, shot with a 25mm focal length pinhole camera onto 4x5 film.

(I've also shot digital pinhole, but the extreme depth of field shows up bazillions of flaws in the glass over the sensor that never show up with regular lenses...retouching nightmare.)

I think it would be neat to be able to put a face behind the
posters on this board... I feel like I know some of the posters
here because I read the board nearly every day and have picked up
on sense of humor and temperament...

I'm always curious what people look like....

I'll start.. Here's me with my baby boy...

Basically doing what I love to do best--RUN!! Sorry, photography is a close second.

Shot by my wife. D100/60mm micro. Cropped a bunch, then upsampled using the "percentage--repeat" technique in Kelby's book.

To this day I have no idea why the Michelin man is called a bibendum, but the word alone is enough to make me be a fan.

I am jealous beyond words that you got to TOUCH him!

Why is it that you can never find nice shots of yourself? Doesn't help not being phototgenic I guess.....

1st one is when someone grabbed my cam at a fire last year, 2nd is at an offroad event last month
