Fine or Superfine?

Hi nille!

Have you tried the Kingstones in Parnasornics? When you plug them in, these cameras can withstand 80ft drops onto solid concrete!

Hi.

Have not tested yet. Waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the bathtube.

I put that kingsssstoooonnn CF with my G6 into the water. But i lost the whole cam. Can't see anything because of that white foam.

Maybe it is a big big big production fault with the G6, regarding water resistance. Or maybe a new G& funtion "invisibility" when used kingston CF a foamed water.

I have to do further testing regarding that brand new topic. After that i will test the water capabilities of that kingston cards with my ten yeras old pannnnnaaesoonicce walkman.

Maybe we have to call the kingston service regarding all this.

Bye. :-)

You guys are so cruel! While you have me laughing hysterically at your silly lines, I feel for those from other countries whose native language is not English, and who do not understand your sarcasm! I hope there are no cameras being submerged in the tub or dropped to the concrete because they have the "proper" comfact flash card inserted!! LOL!

It's safest that way.

REALLY?? CF cards matters in terms of noise from the jpg file saved in it?? How could this be true.. I mean storage media is simply saving digital code and all.. isn't it? :o)
So which CF cards produce the least noise?
That's a tough question. Let's see...I'd say that Lexar seems to do
best with daylight exposures, while Sandisk comes out ahead with
night exposures. Lexar also seems to produce less chroma noise, while
Sandisk produces less luminance noise. However, the results can
change,
depending on the phase of the moon.

Forbes is on the money, here. I ran an experiment several months
ago with my S400 and, to be perfectly honest, could not see any
difference whatsoever. And this was with 8 1/2 x 11 prints with a
Canon i950. I have to say that I really enjoy the extra capacity on
my Lexar 256mb cards.

I havw not seem using my eyes, a big difference between the two, so I set my Canon G5 digital camera to Large, Fine. Also on my wife's Canon S410 digital camera, it is set to Large, Fine. I am happy with these setting.

I'm assuming that it's best to have my P settings on the highest
resolution. But what about fine or superfine settings?

Which should I be using.

of course you are absolutely right - warning! - do not drop onto concrete or submerge your camera under water - that would carry a high probability of damage occurring!

Buy a magic crystal and rotate anti clockwise 10 cm above the camera before each shot to reduce blown highlights from Kingston, jump 3 times on one leg before each shot for increased depth of field with Lexar and sprinkle salt on the ground for less chromatic aberration with San Disk!
;)

Take a microdrive into a quiet room, hold it near your ear and shake vigorously. If you don't hear the noise, then repeat. Works best when you are not wearing charm bracelets.

Hi SandyKHo and all the other.

I am pleased to hear that you liked our little talk..I think we all start to turn crazy. Sony vs. Canon. Fine or superfine. Blurred or not blurres sides. Corner softness - left? right? - center sharp? - Or maybe screen unsharp or blurred?

But Which side - and why? - Our fault? - Sony's fault? Canon's fault? - Maybe my girlfreind but some water on it why pouring the flowers close to my screen? Or these bad kingston people again???

So much possibilities.... No answers at all. Maybe we have to ask mulder and scullly..... ;-)

Bye.

P.S. My native language is german. I am sitting here with the help of my real small (about 100 pages) old school translator. But this little book was also enough to finish my study successfully. And that's no joke.

Nice one... ;-)

Since the CF cards prices lowers.... I bought a card, which give me approx. 250 pics in best quality. Because I would cry, if I made that once-in-a-life-time-super-shot.... which looks horrible, when I print in large format or if I cropped it and enlarge....

Why throttle down your camera?

By the way, what does "LOL!" mean. This expression is not in my tiny little translator book.

It must be a abbreviation for something. Maybe "leave our lifes".

I really do not know what that means. Never heard or seen that in school or at university. Please help.

Hi.

Regrading all those electronic "freak topics" i always have some sentence from the sensational film "Fight Club" with Prad Pit in mind.

For all those who do not know that film. It is not a kong fu film, or something rubbish like that. It is film, which tells us something about people and life in generell.

Question: Do we all need things like newest senstional IKEA Style swedish furniture (or newest high tec electronic dupa dupa...)?

Do we all need this regarding "Hunter & collector theory" from the past?
(Don't know if this expression is right - translator not many words..)

What are we?

.....We are all consumers!!!!!! (..Me too..)

Please watch this film and you will also understand this thread. It is my absolute favourite......... No i am not gay regarding that beautiful guy called Brad Pit.....

Have fun with that. maybe we could "meet" again after everyone had seen that film. (Please correct me with my grammar - I have real problems with simple past, past perfect, past progressive)

Bye. Nils.

If that was a serious question here you have a serious anwser... LOL stands for 'Laughing Out Loud'. There are some variations on the theme, as ROTFLMAO (rolling on the floor laughing my ass off' and some others.

If it was a joke, dont laught too loud at me... LOL

Thanks for your reply. It was a serious question.

Never heard that abrreviation. Here are some abbreviations you might not Know. All english ones.

1. VAT (quite easy)
2. AGM
3. IOU
4. PAYE

Any answers?

Bye.

The difference between Fine and Superfine will hardly be the difference between a show winning photo and a "horrible" one. Unless of course you are only cropping out a 10x10 pixel area, in which case, yes, you are right; it will make a difference....

The difference is very subtle, so subtle in fact that most people would never notice it. I have been able to see it, but even I (I'm very picky) have decided to shoot Large/Fine most of the time, because it makes more sense. Being able to take more pictures and actually capture that special photo makes more sense than going for a 0.1 % improvement in image quality at a 40-50% decrease in number of shots.
