Hi Everybody

I've been updating my website today, and put up some shots from August - as usual, I'm trying to do as representative a sample as possible.

Here's the link:

http://www.slack.co.uk/Suffolk2004/August/index.html

you may have seen some of them (dithering about with the contest) but others should be fresh.

In case you didn't see the shots from our brief (working) trip to cornwall, the link for these is:
http://www.slack.co.uk/Cornwall/August2004/index.html

again, you'll have seen some of them, but probably not all.

kind regards

Hi Jono,

Great stuff the Cornwall shots. I like the close-up mode you were in.:)

The suffolk gallery has some beautiful shots as well. I especially like the wheat & feather shot, both bier lane shots, and the mullion memory shot.

All are exceptional as always!

Thanks for sharing these,

Albert

Hey there Jono,

I'm with Albert.....the Cornwall stuff is mega terrific. I'm especially fond of "Last Exit" and "Girl Patricia", but many others are wonderful also.

I do like the Suffolk gallery too (especially the wheat), but the Cornwall is something very special.

Best wishes,

David

you annoyingly talented man. Why don't you go and stick your pictures elsewhere so that I'm not constantly reminded of how good you are. Gawd, even your kids are gorgeous...and all this from a man whose teddy bear got nicked (maybe that's the answer, maybe that's what drives you!!!)

HI David
I hope you're well.

Glad you liked the cornish stuff - there's nothing quite like a sunny day and a fishing port (I was only there for about 1/2 hour).

Girl Patricia is such a wonderful name for a boat isn't it - it's a Cornish habit, don't know if it's used elsewhere as well - they also like Maid - as in Maid Mary.

Kind Regards
Jono

I think it must be - it's a constant search for consolation ;-)

I hope you're well, and the sums aren't getting you down!

p.s., did you think that this one was over the top? I think I might have got a bit carried away!

Not at all. i love it. In fact it would have worked a treat in the competition.

I think the suma are going okay. I hope that nice Mr Fink will double check me at the end of the voting. Though come to think of it, he'll still be in bed. Any offers from those geographically closer...hunt...hint ;-)

Hi There

Bung me David's lovely spreadsheet when you've finished, I'll be around most of Monday.

OTOH surely David won't be in bed at mid-day on Monday - he'll be having his morning coffee, just the right time (and he might not like me meddling with his macro)

;-)

But you're the one who's anti too much saturation? I was actually thinking of it in terms of a card when I did it, it probably needs more work anyway, but I'm interested that you don't think it ott.

have a nice day . . . . . get out in that sunshine with your purple singlet!

Jono,

That could be called "Über Velvia". Perhaps it will become your new style?

Flick,

I'll be happy to consult on the final voting results. What is the official time of closure?

Best wishes,

David

midday GMT (I would imagine you're five hours behind.

Thank you, you're an angel. You can have my body any time. I'm selling my S2, but we may have an old Pentax fit Ricoh around somewhere ;-)

It's "over the top" in a more literal sort of way. I think the top of the image is a bit weak. Clearly, it's the waves and ripples that make the picture. The top of the photo is cluttered and could use a little cropping.

HI Warren

I've been dithering with this, and you cleared it up, you're right, it needs some serious cropping, probably to the top of the stern of the boats.

It's too saturated as well, in fact, it's back to the drawing board, but I think there's a good image in there somewhere.

thank you and Kind regards
