yeah, that's what they thought about copy machine hard drives. Then it was discovered that it was easy to see lots of stuff that was copied by the previous owner. I know how to hand-edit FAT file entries, and own tools to recover data. It wouldn't be very difficult to recover a bunch of images...- MasterOfGoingFaster

On external drives, I use DBAN to wipe the disk, but I don't see a way to use that on the 'Blad. Worse case, format the drive, then shoot a complex target (not a blank sheet - compresses to easily) to maximize file size, and shoot until you fill the internal drive. Then reformat. Odd isn't it? My point is that Leica may have named the M for rangefinder, but that doesn't stop them from doing anything they want today. I'd prefer a new ID (QM?) rather than calling it a M. Leica has made M cameras without a rangefinder. Google Leica MDa. I suspect the camera will offer "digital cropping" like the Q3, where the camera will show you what it can with the lens attached, then offer crops that are shown by framelines.- MasterOfGoingFaster

When I was reading your post, I thought "200 shots times 8 shot focus shift is 1600 shots." Perhaps the only app you need is a calculator. Well, the system drive is the primary (drive 0) drive with the OS. But I'm sure most people will assume it applies to all internal storage. As a rule of thumb, I think it works. That's one of the first places I'd check. Disconnect from the internet, then shut down Norton (everything Norton-related). Now try LRc. I use to be a sysadmin at a 150,000 user network. Norton and McAfee were alway a performance suspect.- MasterOfGoingFaster
