Hi folks:

Now there have been many variations of this on various webs, but I have noticed that this particular forum seems to have a strong degree of camaraderie, if you will - and also a strong sense of closeness (at least for the regulars). Yes, we can be a protective lot, but I think that comes from sharing common experiences - centered around photography of course.

Let's all post photos of yourselves, along with photos of your homes (wherever that may be). This is not done for bragging rights, but rather to put faces with names, along with a "home photo" showing our neck of the woods. This surely can work wonders as we now can associate names with faces and the like. It so makes the world a little bit smaller, wouldn't you think?

I'll be the guinea pig and go first (go easy on me folks, okay):

My family: My son Erik, ugly me, and my wife Jane

Here's our place in Fuquay Varina (outskirts of Raleigh), North Carolina:

And here is where I often spend early evenings (when I can), having a glass of wine and perhaps a good book or magazine, right here in the back yard:

Okay gang, the ball is in your court - let's see who you are and where you live!!

Nice shot Theresa and lovely place!. Come on folks - give it a try, we're all curious here....

This is me with my baby

Here is my very wonderful husband

Here is a picture of my house last spring

Here is my very large back yard--this shows about half of it

This is a fun idea, Ben, hope others join in.

Hi all,

I'm not really a regular, but have been visiting often in the last couple of months and have enjoyed the sharing of info and personalities. I think it is interesting to see faces placed with the 'monikers.' So, here's me . . .

Here's me at work

I get tons of email from all kinds of folks that I've met on this and other forums, and over a dozen had stated at one time or another how nice it would be if people would post pictures of themselves and their homes.

Now I know that there are plenty of you all around the planet - let's hear from you...from the UK, Australia, NZ, Holland, etc. Let's make this a smaller world!

Post your stuff...

Ben

Ben,

Nice to meet you, I've always enjoyed reading your posts...

I guess if you live in your vehicle you are never lost cause you're always home...

That's me, third from the right...

I think we lost Ergo and a couple others....

Kevin, I saw your "kid" picture and I wondered, hmmmmmm, this looks like back in the 50's (great scan by the way). And when I saw your recent photo, I thought, "now wait a second, this guy only looks 30-ish." You must be doing something right. I'm 55, but you look downright...well, 30-ish.

Hello Ben,

Well, since I live in a rather generic townhome in beautiful downtown New Hope, PA, I'll forgo thje picture of the house. However, here's a scan of a slide of me as a kid, and one not too long ago...
Regards,
Kevin

No, it wasn't THAT long ago - the car was old when this was taken!

Now, at 50...

Gee, thanks Ben! Actually I just turned the dreaded half century last week, so that picture was taken when I was 49.

The slide, BTW, was taken sometime in the '60s, probably around '63 or so. I scanned it with my Epson 1600 scanner using a film adapter, which I LOVE. I did many of these for the family and the quality on a 5 x 7 print is very high I think.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Ben:

Thanks for this post - I'll take this opportunity to share our wonderful family with all my dear friends on this great forum.

No one can have better feelings than Mrs. CC and myself for having such a great and loving family. It is amazing when all of them look forward to our family get togethers especially at our Canadian Thanksgiving at our youngest Son's home in Michigan and again at our home at Christmas. We are truly blessed.

The only one missing was our Great Grandson who was having a snooze at the time.
