is this suggestive?

I agree, fascinatingly beautiful is a good description.

Not clear what you're saying no to. Clearly they are naked sex orgains. It doesn't sound like you'r objecting to "sexy". So it must be "vulgar" you don't agree with. But consider the definitions that might well apply:

"lacking refinement or cultivation;"

"of or associated with the great masses of people;"

"being or characteristic of or appropriate to everyday language;"

then again, maybe that's not what Lemuel had in mind...

naked as they are, they lack definiteness in gender.

personally i find the stamen masculine (need i explain?) and the petals feminine. notice the curves in the petals, definitely feminine i must say.

partly a reason for their universal appeal. :-)

JL,

Just questioning the value of some refinements and cultivation - at what price to the average person? If I recall correctly, the original meaning of vulgar in Latin was somethng along the lines of "common and belonging to the masses". Great in some limited respects to those in postitions of control, but beyond reason in many aspects - just musing on some "cultural values"...best not to go there here.

Great images, undoubtedly. Excellent.

Have you ever examined Orchids? They are probably the most
obvious as being "suggestive". Several species of flowers have
visual reference to suggest animal genialia. The gentle curve of the
flower's pedals, the sensual feel, the coolness of the skin, the flush
in the cheeks....Ooops, got carried away....Let's see, oh ya flowers.
A Rose by anyother name is still a Rose.

Very nice shot, and it only suggestive as your mind and immagination would take you...As for Vulgar? it depends who you talking to, everyone have their own degree of intepretation of vulgar...beautiful to some and revulting to others...if you like it that's fine...if not do something else.
Have someone ever check out the word "Orchid" in Greek?

and do you think this is sexy or vulgar? I don't know but I do like the shape and the color, and there a little doubt of the color hue that Sigma cannot do:
