Couldn't wait to get out this morning, and try some shots with my fixed up Rebel. Only had time for a couple shots, but I am going to go back out this afternoon when I have more time. Please tell me how the Rebel looks like it's doing. Both were shot with the kit lens, at ISO 200. Thanks!

It's nice to see you posting pictures again instead of starting very long threads...

I know how you were feeling, I don't expect to get mine back for a week or two....

Gotta be a good feeling getting it back!!
Having Fun,

It sure is. I'm hoping to get more shots this afternoon, if the weather holds out. There's a 90% chance of severe storms here, so I'm hoping for the best.

I'm really lucky I had my Fuji S7000 for backup, but I still needed the Rebels higher ISOs. Those are what I missed the most. I will be posting more, that's for sure, but I won't forget my friends who like to post in my animal/flowers/insect threads. Except now, I'll have something to post :)

Thanks, Tommy. Seems to be working fine. I was just wanting to give it a quick tryout this morning.

I just hope my 300D doesn't get sick so I can also feel your loss. I hope the grief counselling is going well, and that Canon soon send your toy home healthy, like Mike's apparently is.

Assuming Mike enjoyed the long threads he started, perhaps you could use some of the same therapy by starting and participating in similar threads that interest you. Although he seemed to have covered plenty of ground, his last one filled within 24 hours, so there are still a lot of images out there waiting to join a suitable thread.....

Great shots! I think I'm williing to buy that Rebel also! I just came from a site with comparisons from D70 and the rebel, but man, the Rebel colors are great, the lenses are more accurated also, and it has an easier interface and ease of use. great skin tones... I have already choose! as for your pics, well, they are another reason to choose my new camera... just wait until I have the full amount of money for the kit.

How much for your? was it expensive? I don't think so! :P

The best for you my friend!

Those shots look great.
Nice exposure and sharp. Just right.
Glad your back with your Rebel.
I know I would miss mine if I didn't have it.

Looks right on the money!
I know you are glad to have it back.

Thanks, Jim. I had a little visitor in the center of that second flower shot. He refused to leave, so I just left him alone :)

Thanks, Claus. Now, I just have to learn where everything is on the Rebel, all over again. Old age, short memory :)
