The second trip was quick and all work, but the first was for a
week long trade show that I only had to loosely attend. So Dawn
came with along with the wife of a colleague. I've never walked
around so much in a city (well, not counting Europe) in my life.
We hoofed it everywhere (including some places that we probably
shouldn't have been
gulp ), took in some shows, did the Tavern on
the Green thing, carraige ride, a lot of the typical tourist stuff.
But we also just walked around and went into places we thought
looked fun (umm... maybe too many of those, haha). I loved waking
early and going for a run through Central Park. Such a vibrant and
fun city to visit. I've always said I'd love to Manhattan for a
year or so, just to experience it.
But I wasn't "into" photography" then. Sure, I took some pictures,
but it's so different now. I've been trying to get back for an
extended road trip for about a year, but it just hasn't worked out
timewise, kidwise (we ain't takin' 'em), and moneywise.... It would
be so fun to go up and down the NE to visit a few STFers... Andy,
Shay, Camera Slug (Boston), Fremiet (D.C.) (I'm talking about a
real road trip here, btw), and any others that would care to
visit....
Anyway... my disappointment. Harry is moving. :-(

You and Andy made my day! This is what it's all about! Those
shots of Andy in front of the jumbotron are priceless! As usual,
thanks for sharing this fun day!!!!
Jim
HI all,
Met Andy in Manhattan and we did some shooting. We also get real
wet, we had a bit of weather today. I'll have more to say later and
some other pics but the main event was ---- Andy's POTD on the
Kodak Jumbotron in Times Square.
The reason Andy's hands were up in the air was because he was being
mugged
his POTD
The truth is that Andy was covered in a purple glow that I removed
in PS.
yeah Andy again but what the heck it was his day
Congratulations Andy, a nice guy & fun to shoot with.
