Photos illustrating your Best shot .

Enjoy!

This MC will close on Saturday the the 16th, New York time.

Challenge Rules (copied from previous challenge)

The host gives you a topic and you post up to three images that fit. Any picture you have taken is eligible regardless of time taken or camera.

The host chooses the winners and honorable mentions, and posts those in a new thread. The host's decision is final. Remember, it's all about fun, sharing, and learning. The winner of this challenge then hosts the next challenge, judges the winner of that one, and so on it goes. The winner of this challenge will have 48 hours to post the next challenge. If that doesn't happen, 2nd place will have 24 hours to do you so, then it's up to 3rd place.

Silver Lake, Green Mountain National Forest, Pre-Dawn - Vertical Pano

Silver Lake, Green Mountain National Forest, Pre-Dawn - Vertical Pano

I shot this at the end of an early morning shooting meteors for the Orionid shower. This is a vertical pano - I think I used 3 shots with overall to get the lake and the sky. Taken with the EOS M6 and Rokinon 12mm lens.

This image required the most work. First, building the diorama, then setting it up in a position outdoors one early morning so that it seemed to fit into the real landscape behind it, setting up a stackable series of images, letting software stack the four images, and then using the cloning brush to create the steam wisps from the roof-mounted turbo-generator nearest the cab, steam escaping from the cylinder **** on the close cylinder, and the steam and smoke mix emitting from the beehive stack.

If nothing else were to come of it all, I had fun and improved my skills of various kinds.

I really like this type of low-light imaging. Nice composition. Evokes a response in me, being part Scottish.

This either speaks for itself........................or....................it doesn't. No matter, I like this one the best of all my photos.

At midday, Strait of Georgia, looking east

The bridge at night.

The bridge at night.

Slightly smaller size than original. 13 images shot horizontally with a nodal head on a tripod at 4am. North is down, light pollution from Montreal and towns to up the lake is visible. South is up, I hope someday to come back during a power outage.

Learning curve was huge on this one. Still much to learn.
