Semi-Monthly Thread Featuring Monochrome Images Starting September 1st, 2017

Hello Sigma shooters:

It is monochrome image time again. There was a slow down during the last half month, so let's kick this thread into high gear and show off lots of images for the first half of September! Remember all Sigma cameras and lenses are welcome. Please try to limit your post to 3 images and remember to give your post a title so that comments are properly directed.

Let's see some monochrome images!

the type of differences between the two are interesting





here the fs has better contrast and more pleasing brightness distribution unless the desire was to bring out the ir reflection off of the leaves

Very cool.

I have noticed that adjusting the color wheel tool in SPP can radically alter the image.

I also found the visual differences between the two to be interesting, although I do not have your technical background on the how and why.

I do like the IR version because of the white leaves, and it looks better as a full version vs the compressed size for me to upload here. The photo on Flickr is probably the closest I can provide to the "full version" online. Out of the images taken of the same subject, the IR one has the most views, by far (currently about 25:1).

I now have a drop-in Kolari hot mirror filter, so I may try to do the same thing again, with both Sigma cameras. I wish that the Merrill had the ability to set a custom numerical white balance like the Quattro.
