Its been 47 years since we moved from Kent, Ohio to Santa Cruz, California. And although we've walked along this ocean front path thousands of times in those 47 years, its still hard to believe nature can be so incredible beautiful and constantly changing,

It was misty, a bit cloudy and a bit foggy when we arrived at about 10 am, and for the next 2+ hours the sun, the mist, the light and the colors of the sky and ocean changed multiple times.

Here are a few images of the incredible Santa Cruz coast and the Pacific Ocean.

Hope you enjoy them, and comments appreciated. All shot with my carry everywhere ZS19.

I love your area. Nice to see your beautiful l pics today.
Sandy,

Thanks for viewing. Last time I was in your area was the Atlanta Pop Festival, 1969 as a 21 year old hippie, lol.

Looks real beautiful out there Den, nice job. I think my favorite shot is number 5 because of the cool looking rocky shore. Thanks for sharing.

Evening Tim,

Sure hope you are feeling well these days. All the images taken this morning were not very sharp, due to the mist everywhere, but it sure felt good walking around down there. We live in Bonny Doon, about 7 miles inland (elevation `1600 feet) from the coast where the images were shot. Occasionally in the summer (today is one of those days), the temperature variance is extreme. Its now 6:45 pm and its 90 on my front deck, and its 61 down where the photos were shot earlier today.

We're now jumping in the car with the dog and going for another walk by the beach. Can't want to freeze down there! I hate hot weather.

My best,

Den

Thanks Den, I'm improving slowly. I should be able to start taking more pics and sharing here some more.

Our weather has been pretty amazing this year around Seattle but I'm like you and don't like the hot temps. I try not to complain too much though because I know it will be raining again before we know it.

Enjoy the dogs and the beach. Can't beat that combo.

Good set Den. I recognise the glossy/silvery light on the sea. We too live next to the sea, though in the UK we're never more than 150 miles or so from the sea. There's nothing like a stroll down the promenade into our very small town, with sun shining and the sea glinting, depending on the tide, members of the Ribble Yacht club may be just cruising or racing.

Beautiful area, nice photos. I like the overall atmosphere.
Thanks Lars, keep enjoying that wonderful puppy.

Best,

Den

P.S. Here's our best friend, Bella:
