In that case, I would recommend something like a Nikon D750 - extremely capable camera, reasonably priced, and then a 24-70 f2.8 to go with it for now (the new sigma art lens looks nice). You may also want a prime lens for lower light. I have the sigma art 35 f1.4 and it is a superb lens, or a 85mm f1.8 for portraits of newborns.

if you are shooting weddings you want a camera with 2 card slots and may want 2 bodies at the wedding also.

lenses are very important in this field so get good lenses to go with your body.

Do you want us to also go out and hold your hand when you buy it. Most of us make our own decisions when we go out and buy stuff. Why can't you.

I can't imagine what you go through when you buy a new vehicle.

Reading between the lines here: if you don't know what to buy, I'm guessing you're not very experienced with photography. If that is the case, dropping $3k on a camera to go professional seems like a bit of a long shot.

From reading your original post I certainly wouldn't be hiring you!

A camera doesn't make a pro. It's the eye for a shot rather them the kit.
