Yes it is silly but whatever. f4 is largest aperture on the olympus 300mm f4 so if you want you can compare it to the canon 300mm f4 . Is it possible to crown one of them the king ?Do you mean with the Canon at f/4? Or the Olympus at f/2.8?
They are both very sharp lenses, but there are so many variables in which they differ that comparing them is a little silly (if even possible). But I suppose so is this thread

We'll know for sure when there is a 50Mp sensor for m4/3 (which who knows... could be next year).
We don't need that, we need someone with a GX8, canon adapter, good focusing skills and access to these two lenses. That is all we need.
That would test for the sharpest lens on a GX8. It would not test for the sharpest lens on a 5DSr, for such a contest I would guess the Canon would win, certainly the Canon will be sharper on a 5DSr than on a GX8.
It's a fair test . Why don't someone test lenses like this ?
