Is anyone else curious about.......

Since you asked ;-) my vote is definitely for the in-your-face, run-your-fingers through it kinda look, yeah! And since Sandra was bold enough to say what I was already thinking....!

;-)
Oh, about the 70's, my present hair is more like the early
nineties, more Kurt Cobain fall in my face stuff. I had it brushed
back in the photo. You know, one reason I've gotten away from the
shorty hair or the shaved head because it's just too normal these
days--even shaved and shiny. I'm not crazy about "normal". I
figure, as long as I'm still able to grow it, I might as well play
a bit.

on your upcoming nuptuals! Very pretty wife, and I'm sure you'll have equally great looking kids eventually. That's a very nice pic of the two of you. Cheers, Sandi
...just stand next to one who is (my wife-to-be)!

I'm standing next to my future wife, Kellie. We'll be married on
Oct 5th this year. Why, I even have a pic of my wedding band with
her name engraved on it just for proof!

There was a great self-portrait post by Stefan Bock here:

Here's another link to a thread a few months back that had
self-portraits of forum members.
I've posted mine there, too...
Yeah, great portrait.

Make believe you're a flamingo and shoot it again. In your bird shots, you only cut off the feet :-).

I figured anyone interested would have already been to the site. I got to thinking this morning about the hair thing and decided to post since the thread was still current.

It was fun, and OH the responses!

Now I'm thinking about my next publicity photos and I'll probably post one of those, if this thread is still going.
the list out of neglect.......I had been to your site. You aren't
camera shy. Thanks

Marek,

I have random images over at pbase and imagestation that I've linked to various postings here in the forums(which you can find by perusing my post history), aside from that all my images are stored on the archive CD's that I burn every few months or so. It's been over 2 years with my CP990 and I still haven't cracked the 6,000 image barrier! I look forward to getting out more with the camera and upping my image quota significantly once my marathon coding efforts are complete (hopefully in the next 6 months or so) I'll be posting more images online then, for now it's back to my java IDE.

Regards,

Deanne,

Nice thread...it's been a while since I posted an image of myself
here, very busy coding, eating, exercising and sleeping!

Here I am:

(taken with CP990)

31, Born and raised in Brooklyn NYC by Haitian parents (I was taken
there once as a toddler, hope to go visit soon.) Attended St.
Theresa catholic school from 3 to 8. Passed specialized HS exam to
get into Brooklyn Tech in 85, graduated 89. Went off to college,
loitered around College of Staten Isl. and City College, Grad. BS
EE 1997. While in college did almost as much drawing and art
learning as I did engineering (guess that's why i took so long!)
Worked on campus for a year as a LAN admin, then off to Chase for
two years as a Y2k tech. then 2 years at a dot.bomb as a
xml/java/tcl/sql content management programmer. Started
company(Apriority LLC) in 2002, imminent release of first product.
(xml content management and delivery engine) My first passion is
illustration, been drawing since I could pick up a pencil, here's a
graphite sketch I did during my digital electronics class circa 96'
;)

However, I've been unable to devote much time to illustration,
programming has taken over..luckily I love it just as much, to help
satisfy the periodic art craving I got into digital imagery back in
96 using the Kodak DC90 purchased by the computer lab I was working
at, since then I've owned the DC260 (Kodak) and now the amazing
990. I've since given the 260 to my girlfriend who is more often
than not the primary subject of my photographs, along with flowers,
buildings, wildlife, friends and family. Another interest is
exercise, to loose some excess pounds acquired during my 5 year
stint in "the field" I started running 3+ miles almost every day
since last September, I hit my goal of loosing 50lbs by
January!...whoda thunk that running and fat concious meals could
flatten a gut (no crunches required yay!!) now I have more energy
to code, draw and take pictures!

Sa C'est Moi!

You should scan them in even for recording purposes, and keep the CD totally separate from the house (give to a relative for safekeeping etc in case of fire). I convinced my mother to temporarily part with all the pics and have scanned all my baby and little kid pics in.. even created a VCD of all my pics since birth in chronological order - what a hoot to play for some, just SOME, folks! Here's my fav pic - thought about using it in my real estate brochures! LOL

So nice to put a face to those lovely photos. This thread has been
so much fun for me and I hope for everyone. The only ones I knew
what they looked like were Jarrell (he's not the least bit camera
shy), Dayane, Frank Lemire and Todd Art.
I think I should learn someday to use my scanner. These baby pics
have been a hoot. Thanks for posting.

I, too, never want to get on the other side of the camera...much prefer taking photos of others. This is one of Geo. and me and guess it speaks well for us being close to the 50th anniv that we can still look happy together :-)

I kind of liked this until our daughter said, "that looks like the ceramic I painted." So both shots are below and you can see if she is right??? Oh well, they look happy, too. Joan
