okay, just doing some fooling around with a camera and something has occurred to me. I can't remember ever shooting my right hand...(hand models are too expensive so I do my own modeling work) ;-) because I always use the right hand to hold the camera and squeeze the shutter button, that's no big deal for me since I'm right handed.

but

What about our left handed brother's and sisters, using cameras designed for righties.. it must be like using right handed scissors for them too. So, they've got it tough with just about everything. :-(

just doing some experimenting with dropping text into a photo.

That's a very interesting observation, Charlie (and good image as well). Tell me - do you ever stop thinking? LOL

Hey, I never ever use my cell phone camera... forgot about that advantage they have..:-D

And most people are right eye as well as right handed. So some cameras put the viewer over to the side so our noses won't stick into the back of the camera.

Unfortunately I'm left eye and right handed.

Fortunately the D5000 screen can be flip closed or I can flip it downward to get way from my nose.

I'm in the same predicament as chiue - left-eyed and right-handed. And in my case, the D3100 does not have a flip down screen so my nose smudges the LCD screen when I use the viewfinder. LOL Oh well, you have to take the good with the bad, eh?!

now that proves you are unique and special... but not quite as 'special' as this lady ;-)

Interesting Charlie, my Dad was left handed and when he went to school they forced him to write with his right hand, he finished up being a 1st Class Carpenter and always used his saw and other tools with his right hand, IMO anyone that cannot take a photo by pressing a button with their right hand should be locked up.
