This guy was crossing the road as I neared my daughter's school this afternoon. I've seen bigger but always enjoy seeing them; just not to pet!!

The first is a crop but in 1:1 scale. Taken with the UZI, handheld in Macro Mode; Program Mode; f 2.8; 1/500th sec.

Nice to have that camera handy isn't it?

I try to never leave home without the UZI....if not, there's always the little Fuji 2600 handy!

For the macro, the camera was only about 8" from his nose....too close for my fingers and really glad he didn't decide to take a chunk out of my UZI!

How well I know.....never had a bad experience but have seen what they can do! I just had to have that macro shot and used the UZI as my 'shield'.....wouldn't want anything to happen to the camera but better than my hand!

We caught one in Florida last year that was almost 2 feet across his shell....huge!

Thank you, Debbie.

Actually, for the closeup, using macro, the lens was less than a foot away from him!!! I was keeping my eye on him though....they look sluggish but can really strike quickly!

Good shots but I've seen them guys bite through a tennis shoe (clean through).

Great capture!

I hope not.....he's grusome looking. I'de keep driving on by!
I hate those dudes. It's a great shot but makes my skin crawl.

Have you been by the studio? I've been so busy doing onsite shoots that I'm only there about 2 hours a day. My wife is there on Mondays.

Starting June 2nd we will be there most every day. Business is good and it's getting better. I've been doing ball teams down at Bowers field (have another one Tuesday. Every weekend in June is booked with 3 weddings and a Dance studio thing called Power Dance. We have to meet with the owner Saturday Morning to confirm but she said to book it before a bride called. I'm meeting a forum member (olyslr group) in Nashville Friday evening to purchase a E-20 to go with the E-10 and C-3000z. I really want a Canon 10D but can't see spending the $$$$ for it......yet!

PS have you seen me roaming around? I put my studio info on the side windows of the Suburban......rolling billboard.

Hey Dan,
This guy wasn't far from your shop; just over the hill! Maybe
he'll come pay you a visit!! :))
