I'm starting to go through my image files that have been earmarked to throw out and seeing if any of my "trash" photos were salvagable. Here's one that had "throw me out please" written all over it
before

and after

So, now I'm finding a lot of fun in those worthless images, figuring I can't do any worse by them.........I hope :)

--this is fun. i really like your picture. I have been sorting out my pre digital photos and my pre PS7 photos. I keep editing pics. Cropping, curves etc . at this rate i will nevere get to put them on cds.

Marlene great save. You never know unless you save it and look at it at a later date then play with it in the digital darkroom. I love this.

I really like what you did with that pic. Did you use the Hayes Island effect or another technic?

Island effect or another technic?
This was just done with render lighting, curves, cloning, hue/sat, flood filter, more cloning to wrap the water towards the back and then placing the image on a blank layer, adding a drop shadow set to 0-36-5, before cutting out the wall to create the fence look with a little dimension to it. The moon image was placed under the "keep out" layer. Then I traced around the moon scene with the lasso to keep the image the same as what's showing through the fence, copied and pasted it on top of the "keep out" layer, then rotated it 180 degrees, flipped it , then moved it to the water and used blend mode overlay to make it blend in and look like a reflection. As I recall.......I think that's it. Lots of fun!

I live to eat therefore I cook well, if I live to photograph would it happen?

The best way to convince a fool is to let it have its way.

Marlene,

Great images. You are an artist after my own heart. Sometimes I feel guilty when using PS7 to manipulate images. But, as you love it, so do I. Keep up the good work.
