Certainly Jessops have been selling Pentax on line for some time.

They've been back in store for about 6 months too (Nov 2010) - useful to be able to handle the kit. I got my first Pentax from Jessops, a K100D in 2007.

Well, if you read the news story it says, "Jessops are pleased to be stocking the latest range of Pentax DSLRs in a number of our top stores,' a spokeswoman for the Leicester-based firm said today."

That would seem to me to mean retail outlets.

I believe it was Pentax who pulled the plug on Jessops when they looked unable to maintain solvency.

So this has to be good news for Jessops they are considered an 'acceptable' risk.

You're probably correct. I remember the hand-wringing here when Pentax left Ritz/Wolf Camera. However, a few months later we read about the multimillion dollar bag that Canon and Nikon were left holding when Ritz filed for bankruptcy protection. Pentax didn't look too bad to me then. Better to remain solvent than to go down with a larger ship.
