Spring has sprung in my area, that's for certain as I'm seeing so many lovely flowers and pesky insects. With that in mind, anyone want to share their flower and insect photos? I'll start out in the thread below and hope you'll join in the fun. Photo taken at any time, any camera.

When I upgraded my 20D many years ago, instead of selling it I had it converted to IR only. By having it "IR Only" no additional filters are required and shutter speeds are the same as a non IR camera. These were PP'd with PS using Channels and a false color action togeather.

Been posted before , various cams over the years, some really old so please excuse them .. Includes a Ladybug LAYING Eggs Jada ! ., I used to shoot more bug macros years ago than I do now, though we've not had a summer for nearly 4 years ...

Camera and Year of image on photo starting with the unnamed S100FS one - some with cameras I've been testing for relatives. BTW the TX1 is a canon

Nice shots Jada, I also own the H5 and waiting for a new P&S or bridge that can compare or surpass the sharpness and IQ it has. Have you seen one yet that has made you want to upgrade yet? With 7.2 MP and 12x zoom, the H5 is pretty hard to beat IMHO!

Enjoy the Zoo, not all perfect but all where easy to take and OOC jpegs.

Very otherworldly. Nice!

Tron I agree; the H5 is really a great camera, as is the H2. I think that all the Sony H-series are really tough to beat when it comes to macro work. I have looked at my photos before and thought, "I like this photo; which camera did I use?" So many times, the Sony's will have been used.

When we go places, I like to take the H2 and shoot out the window. It takes very clear shots on the go, it's so light, it's just one of my warmest and fuzziest cameras.

Tron, I haven't seen any offerings lately that would make me want to pull the plug; and the Sony's that I have still have a lot of life left in them. Then again, I've blown my camera budget with the HS-10. Seems like they are really advancing quickly and it's always exciting what the camera makers will unveil.

Thanks for your nice comments, too. :-)

Thank you all so much for your kind comments. It's not a very good day on my end. My son called earlier and had a bad wreck. May have totaled his car. Most important thing is that he and the people in the other car didn't have to go to the hospital. More shaken-up than anything. :-(

You have so many gems in this series that I could not possibly choose a favorite. And that ladybug....WOW!!

And you've also made me have a sudden craving for pears. So many beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing.

Modern cars have excellent safety measures so glad to hear they're OK ..

thanks a lot, I though't you'd like the Ladybug ...... The sad part is that around here we need a good summer for good bug pics and we've only had rainstorns between June to August (where the heatwaves usually are) since 2007 onwards :( .. I miss it , was one of the rare hobby sides of Photography for me .
And you've also made me have a sudden craving for pears.
LOL - at least it didn't give you a craving to get an R1 !!!!

Thanks for your kind words and keep posting those beautiful colours .......
