Found C-2100 UZI at Walmart! But $499! Pricematching possible?

Hi everyone!

Found a BRAND NEW C-2100 UZI at my local Walmart! Now I already know how hard they are to find, especially brand new, so I'm thinking of picking one up.

However, the price listed was $499...I've noticed people have been picking them up at CompUSA for $350, and some Walmarts for even cheaper!

Do Walmarts price match? Is there an ad or offer I can use so I can pricematch them and pick this baby up ASAP?

Talk to the dept manager. About2 monthss ago, I was looking for an Uzi for my boss. Found one at one of my local Walmarts (burried in the display case) priced at $499. I talked with the manager and explained that it was an old model, and that Comp USA was clearing them out. She contacted the regional manager, and got approval to drop the price. She only took off $50, but it was better then nothing. I understand that some of the other walmarts, recently, has marked the Uzi's down. If your lucky, maybe the manager will get you a good price. Doesn't hurt to ask.

If you miss out on buying the camera you'll hate yourself for years. How else can you get the quality and features of the UZI, even at twice the price.

Do you have an american express credit card? If so you can do price matching with them. Just buy the cam with your AmEx card, and then find a published price from A&M or whomever in a Popular Photography magazine. Youll have to mail in the details, but they'll cut you a check for the difference.

I know it's likely worth the money, but as a poor student I really can't afford it so I can take any discount I can get.

I don't have a Amex card unfortunately so I can't pricematch. I need an instant savings type of thing; either hopefully the manager pricematches, or I can show an ad or something that they'll match.

If anyone has more tips or know of links to ads that show it at a reduced price, please let me know...I don't think they'd bother to call and make sure it's in stock; I just need an ad that shows it at a cheap price.

picked mine up at wal-mart about 6 months ago i had in layaway for three months,it was nice paying $20 to $30.00 each week better than $500.00 at once,the local crumb usa here (st.louis mo.)has them in stock and lots of c700s to.

I think they have a 30 day return policy. Check to see if you buy it and find it at a lower price in the 30 days if they will match it then?

At least you would have the 30 days. Maybe someone could help you out with it during that time. Maybe someone has a spare smartmedia card to send you that they don't use anymore? That would save you some money as well.

I hope you can get the camera-it is well worth it and I don't think it will lose a lot of value if you later decide to trade.

I don't have time at this second to click over, but Steve's Digicams and some other review sites list the cameras and they sometimes have a list of discontinued models on the site. You might be able to print that page off of a reviewer site or a manufacturer site.
