coolpix 2000 my first pictures

This looks great as a second comera.

Are you able to compare it to some other CoolPix or somthing alse
No, i'm sorry. This is my first 2Mp camera. I bought it because it is handy, cheap, full automatic but with the possibility off a lot of manual settings. The pictures i had taken with, are much better (of course) than my previous (digital) cameras. Once you have learned how to work with, it becomes easy to use. Maybe a minus point is that your preference settings must be set again by every "off-on". (i mean measuring light -matrix, spot or center weight and under/over exposure)

Luis,

Sorry I had no nightlife scenes yet. The only image i have now was taken in a church, all settings auto except the flash (was set to "off"). I was leaning against a wall (no tripod). you can review the color. I have it posted on pbase.

I have some problems with unsharp night photos.
I think there are caused by long exposure times and low ISO.
Camera is setting ISO150 very rarely. And exposure times
in the night are typically 1/10s (in your last photo even 1s).
So camera shake is very possible and photo is unsharp.
I partly solved it by using BSS function.
Tripod would be ideal solution.

I have one more question. How many photos you can do
with 1 set of batteries?
I have only 700mAh NiCd and I do 25-40 photos
and I plan to buy better ones.
I don't know if I should buy NiCd or NiMH.
NiCd are not popular because of the memory effect,
but I read that NiMH 1200mAh last same time as NiCd 1000mAh.
What do you mean?
