Here we go... my challenge rant and rave

i sneaked out the back door at noon thinking i still had time to take some entrances and exits shots for challenge 20. boy was i ever surprised to find out it ended days ago. and i had the perfect entrance all lined up too. i heard there's a strip joint on the airport strip where the front entrance is supposed to be the part of an airplane with the door you walk through when getting on a plane.

well i was so bummed to hear the challenge was over i just had to rant about the time zone thing or else i was gonna snap and really shoot somebody with my loaded 707.
so how's it going zip?
gotta stop walking those queen street blocks
hehe
i don't think anyone living outside of the pacific, mountain,
central or eastern time zones of north america be allowed to host a
challenge. i spent the better part of the past 2 weeks trying to
figure out when challenge 20 starts only to find out it's over and
that the voting is now almost over too. no offense allied but get
with the program and tell time like us civilized people or just
don't bother even showing up for the next challenge.
mark my words, if the challenge 20 winner hails from across the
pond or down under or some other such remote backwater hellhole of
a place i will refuse to enter unless the start and end times are
listed in real times that i can understand and relate to. it's hard
enough dealing with those backwards californians who are always 3
hours behind no matter what. i mean what's up with that? but don't
let me get started on that. not to mention those saskatchewanians
who confuse the hell out of everybody by not believing in daylight
savings time. how bizarre is that? who in their right minds would
not want to save daylight? i ask you. but i guess that's off-
topic. now what was i complaining about? oh yeah... people who
don't take stickers off their cameras and tags off their baseball
caps and... oh darn it... forgot to take my medication again. i
suffer from sillyitus.
now what was i complaining about again...

Lets not forget Tom Green
Yuck i cant stand him u americans want him? Hes urs.
Nobody from Canada should be allowed to take part either, why they
use Celsius (whatever that is) up there in the frozen north and
have an unfair advantage with the northern lights blazing all day
long and the midnight sun... and ...and universal medicare... and
have you seen what they have to pay for 707s? $1700 Canadian
whatever that is! plus they have decent beer, it is so unfair. Well
maybe they can play but they can't be allowed to win, and they
can't sell their timber to us either just because it's better
quality and they pay their workers decent wages... as long as we
have Enron and World.com we are the masters and WE set the rules.

Randy, why would we want to take over the US? Have you seen the problems you guys have got, crooked politicians (ok so do we but smaller scale), crooked CEOs and Audit Companies, rampant crime, awful health system and expensive to boot, friendly fire, colateral damage, awful beer! Why do you think the brits let you win so easily all those years ago? Hey I have nothing against Americans but I won't let my daughter marry one ;-)
at least Canadians talk and look normal eh!

How can we really trust our Northern 'neighboors'?

I think they are filling this forum with disinformation, attempting
to win over converts to their cause...ultimate domination of the
planet.

We must STOP them now!!!

Friendly fire and colateral damage are not inventions of the US. They are and always have been an unfortunate aspect of armed conflict.

It's disheartening and devastating when it occurs. But it's a fact of war. The US didn't invent it. The Canadians didn't invent it...it just is.

Hey what is it with this SarahD or CindyD bit? Are we really sure it's two people and not just one? I think it's just an excuse to post twice the number of really excellent photos in the challenges.

i'm pretty sure they've never been seen together so make of it what you will.

there was a picture supposedly of the 2 of them in challenge 6 i believe but that could have been anybody or it could have been photoshopped.

they (she) have 2 cameras but that maybe just another deception tactic on their (her) part.

Seriously Randy, you are very right and this is my soap box rant!...I spent 20 years in the British Army and know what I am talking about. Accidents will happen but when we have adequate and appropriate training instead of indoctrination we reduce the chance of such stupid accidents; I hate the term friendly fire and always dreaded being on the receiving end of it, can you imagine anything more useless than having your life taken away by "friends" who have learned to be trigger happy and shoot first...ask questions later? just watch the US Forced change their training philosophy in the near future and get away from "destroy the man and rebuild him in your own mold" the practice used until now which destroys initiative. No the Americans did not invent it but they have used it well this past number of years. The only Brit ground force casualties (except for SAS) in the Gulf War were Brit tanks destroyed by US Forces, their own casualties were 20-25 caused by themselves, they even shot down their own Blackhawks guided onto target by E3 AWACS etc ad nauseum. Sorry guys I just had to respond! and now back to our sponsor...

thanks man, you have made me actually LOL, great job. (well it could have been the wine...) But now that allied is awake.....

Stephen and Randy.... touchy, touchy, all in fun,

... but as an f18 pilot said to me today (he's here for the airshow, which I am missing to go to an "alternative lifestyles" wedding: "I'm not allowed to talk politics or religion when in uniform"

Yves...keep poutine, please. It is disgusting, and likely to send my hubby to an early grave. In all seriousness, where would we be without you quebecois??? (Alberta would have more money, but then again, I'm not allowed to talk politics when in uniform!)

And at 11:20 p.m. "mountain" time, it is still 28C here in edmonchuck. It is an official heatwave and an official drought (boulevard trees are dying, unfortunately. They are one of Edmontons redeeming factors).

Goodnight, all. And thanks for the late night show!

I do apologize for all the people participating ...
Lot's of great shots
Congratulations to CindyD !

Please where is this frozen north you speak of?
I'll tell you where the frozen north is ... It's in my backyard all winter long because of the blasted jetstream currents that blow all the frigid arctic air from up yonder in northern Canada, down here so it gets around -30 with the wind chill!

Hmmm ... I wonder if I could sue Canada if I get hypothermia ... then I'll be the sole providor of good beer

(this is where maniacal laughter and eerie theme music should play)

Oddly enough, this question has been raised before, so we had to show the evidence!

Nice try! I've seen what you folk can do in PhotoShop but you slipped up this time, the person on the right needs more touch up to be the "mum" this is given away by the absence of aging signs (see my pic if you need proof), the way this photo has been altewred it is obvious that there can be no more than 10 years difference if that, no it was a nice try; I am convinced that there's only one of you so 'fess up! You'll have to do better than that. ;-) Nice work you two!
