FZ18 ordered again - huge price drop just like Thanksgiving black Friday morning

As one who happened to notice the low price and order a copy yesterday, I feel sympathetic to Vann's and hope they'll reap goodwill benefits from future buyers.

I was interested to see that you have the same equipment as I do (FZ15 and FX01). I wonder if this is common, although I doubt that it is.

They may have initially lost some money, but they obviously are a class operation and have created a lot of good will by standing by their price.

Before I ordered the FZ18 from Vann's yesterday, I had never ordered anything from them, but in the future I will be checking their website anytime I am looking for camera or electronics gear.

Fair and reliable merchants can be hard to find these days. As we used to say in the Navy, "BRAVO ZULU" Vann's!

Do you know of any instances of prices being manipulated by hackers to the point where an order could be placed and the credit card charged? Presumably this was all automatic with no human aware or there to stop the bleeding. Sunday morning would be a good time to run the hack.
It could have been an internal hack by a disgruntled employee. ;-)

When I decided to order my FZ50, the first thing I did was to go to the camera review here at DPReview, then checked the seller links at the bottom of the first page.

That is where I found Vann's . . .

They were not the cheapest or the most expensive, but in the middle, which is why I chose them.

That was one year ago this week . . . and I had an excellent buying experience with them.

Me too! Thank you Vanns! An honourable company as yours will always prosper. I'll have to wait a bit longer than most as it is being delivered to my Miami skybox and thence to my home in the Caribbean. Thanks FZ18 for the tip on Sunday. Now I'll have to deal with custom duties and VAT.
