Glad to see you're moving along with the D30...I really like the closeup below. You will run the whole gamut of experiences with your new camera...sometimes you will say "damn, I could have gotten that no prob with the 2100", other times it will be "how could I have gotten this far without my D30?". But the good will far outweigh the bad, and these photos clearly indicate it will be mostly very good.
